ES have decent liquidity but the spreads are wide like SPX weeklys.
Its my understanding from CBOE that only SPX monthlys will be moving on to C2, not the SPX weeklys.
I wonder if they will shift the SPX weeklys to the new C2 exchange? and if it would increase liquidity at all? Is the hybrid system only populated with CBOE quotes? SPY must gain its liquidity advantage from multimarket participants.
The spreads and liquidity seem to favor the SPY. Why is that given the SPX is much cheaper commission wise?
Pros and cons opinions and such appreciated.
