    thanks for the tip. Your right when I minimize then maximize tws the memory usage drops back to 20 mb. Nice. Surprised I never ran across that before. Problem solved I guess.

    hmm I do use QT w/ the ib feed so perhaps this is what is happening. The backfill data through the day is using more java resources? The only solution is a new box with 2-4GB memory I guess.

    thanks for suggestion. Id've done most of them and also found a newer build..1.5 version 8. reloaded that and restarted tws. now 70MB memory usage. Much better. I'll ck back here tomorrow for an update during the full mkt hours.
