the os came with dell, hp, etc. are tied to that machine. when you install the os, it will first check the motherboard id. if it matches, then it will allow you to proceed. otherwise it will just crap out. you can't even transfer the os to different computer model of the same brand.

IMHO, this is the best of Jack's teachings: He was tough and to the point. Comparatively, you will find Spyder laid back and easy going. :p

how much memory do you have in your computer? how much memory your programs are using? go load up all the programs you normally use, then press Ctrl-Alt-Del. The Task Manager will pop up. Select the "Performance" tab and see if you are using more memory than you have in the computer...
