Right click on TWS makes the most sense. No LT surviving traders would trade with less than 2x margin anyway. Margin goes up with volatility, that's just fact of life. Noobs might find it difficult to swallow the first time around. But they will get used to it. LT surviving traders...

Thinkorswim has the best implementation: a message window would pop up. An audio alert would sound. You would never miss any important messages.

At the beginner level, you don't have to worry about flaws. Just hold through them... (i.e. continuation) until you meet a FTT.

Why are you worrying about another resolution? We only deal with one resolution -- 5m for ES, and 2m for YM. A Tape is a tape is a tape... Look at the tape in front of you, study the flaw you have, there is no time (nor the need) to worry about another resolution.

Read Cottle's book. There is a free version floating around on the net. You will get an idea of how MMs operate.
