    RIG Dividend questions

I don't see any dividends for RIG at all, either. Ex-dividend date is set 3 business days prior to the Holder of Record date since it takes 3 days to settle stock trades. If the 130 call remains OTM then it won't be exercised. Early exercise for dividends is only economical for ITM calls...

Short put: How to get early assignment?

No, assignment is random. Also, a put holder will wait until the last dividend is paid before exercising early the put, assuming it is beneficial to exercise early.

    Odd Calender Condor stategy

It's a double diagonal, as it has been mentioned, and it is also a play on the volatility skew between the two months.

    Time for sale

There are ways to profit, but I don't think there's one best way to do it. Some sell naked options, others prefer vertical spreads (bull put, bear call, iron condor/butterfly), calendars, double calendars/diagonals and etc. It's really a matter of preference and the amount of risk you wanna take...

Long Call vs. Naked Short Put

You can't really compare the two as they have completely different profiles, and serve different purposes.

Long term OTM vs. short term ITM Call options?

X multiplied by Delta gives you an option's move (roughly, cause you don't account for Gamma, Theta and Vega). You can also take a $ amount and then see how many contracts that buys you for different strikes. Then multiply that by delta to get the total deltas for each strike, then compare...

    index vs stock option trading

Options on futures are pretty much the same, with the exception of margin requirements as you mentioned, but with the introduction of portfolio margining the advantage of options on futures has disappeared though. Also, the liquidity can be a problem.

    implied volatility

Actually, it works both ways. So if you get the IV wrong then it could be hard to make money on direction. You also need to get the timing right otherwise time decay will kill ya.:D

Long term OTM vs. short term ITM Call options?

If you are planning to hold for 1-3 days then back month options are not the best choice as they are slower to respond. How about short term OTM!?:D ATM would give you a good bang for the buck.

    implied volatility

IV is a relative thing, not absolute. What may be considered an extremely high IV for one stock, may be completely normal for another.

    Options Theoretical Question

The best way to handle this is to either sell the calls in the market on expiration Friday or to contact your broker and ask whether you can short the shares against your calls just prior to expiry to cover the exercise. Carrying weekend risk is not the best way to handle this.

I was just expressing my opinion about the software. I wasn't really trying to argue with you or attack you. Coming to think of it, I don't even know why I used the "quote" button. Anyway, sorry, mate.

Short poll on money management & losses.

There are countless ways to trade profitably in the markets so just because we have different views doesn't mean that both of us cannot be successful. When you bought the stock at 30 you entered a trade with a negative $1,500 edge. Is that a good trade? With that said, I don't think I can...

    Spread Hacker

My point exactly. If you have no use for it then don't use it. Who gives a sh*t that they developed a tool for premium sellers!? Btw, there's no single right or wrong way to trade, so if some like to be premium sellers then so be it.

Short poll on money management & losses.

See, that's where I completely disagree. There's no way to trade out of a losing position or rather the trades you make afterwards have to work in order for you to "trade out of a loser". Each and every trade or adjustment, as some like to call it, to a losing position has an awful risk/reward...

Noone's forcing you or anyone to use it. If you don't like it or have no use for it then don't use it. I don't. It's not like the whole world of trading is tied to it!
