    The total price you pay/receive always includes accrued interest so if you buy a bond just before the coupon payment then you will pay the seller the proportional amount of that coupon, which in case of a day or two before it means practically the whole coupon. Sorry, no free lunch here.

    Porsche indeed used OTC options. Option exchanges have position size limits so I doubt there's a way to acquire a meaningful stake using exchange-traded options. Besides, as the previous person noted, such transactions would attract attention.

    Do you really believe that this is a good market for trend following!? The market has been wipsawing a lot so I really don't see how a trend following system could work, unless it's a short term trend. ICs have been working nicely if you know how to play them and can be patient.

    It's hard to average it. What a market maker does may be completely different from what a hedge fund trader does, as their goals may not be the same. The description you post sounds like a market maker job.
