OTC options don’t need to be reported?

In linked article about Melvin Capital, it says below. Is this true? Is it because it’s considered a transaction between private parties? “He has stopped using exchange-traded puts that show up on his quarterly filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission -- clues that allowed his firm...

Is overtrading when scalping a problem on its own or only because of fees?

I mean I can make the same argument that 3 trades a year is better, and 3 trades a decade is even better, and buy once and hold is the best. Scalping is very close in risk profile to selling naked options, imho. Very high win rate with occasional large losses. It’s trading for income.

But flawed. Can be extrapolated to buy-and-hold.

K, IB is fine. Charts are secondary for both of these guys.

Is overtrading when scalping a problem on its own or only because of fees?

You are overthinking it. Use TOS for charts and paper trading - all free. If you make money with TOS, you most likely make money with faster platform. MadAz uses limit orders only while Ross mostly market orders, so advantage MasAz, IMO. Spending the time in their chat rooms would be worth your...

Is overtrading when scalping a problem on its own or only because of fees?

I sure do! I actually like MadAzMoney better. Don’t know the other guys you mentioned, but the two above use level2 and tape reading a lot. Ross is more of a momentum trader and MadAz more of mean reversion. Both try to capture as much as possible quickly but the stocks they trade can turn so...

Is overtrading when scalping a problem on its own or only because of fees?

I don’t think it’s the size of the scalp target, but the type of “scalping” they do. The term is no longer well defined. Explain what the difference between the two groups wrt entries and exits. Also specify which instrument(s).

Is paying an employee with real estate a legal loophole to avoid income tax?

@Sig and all, I would like to domicile my Corp in Florida, and possibly just buy something inexpensive (both price and carry) through Corp. Any suggestions on which areas to look at? I will not care about schools but possibly of renting out the property would be nice option to have.

    Supplement retirement income

I am no money manager, so I would go for absolute return, least amount of effort, commissions, and fees. But if you try to time the market anyway(active investing), then the wheel becomes a natural way to combine “best of both worlds.” Of course adding discretion adds more uncertainty...

Building a social media sentiment report

Hello. I have a teenage daughter who’s obviously always on her phone. I want to hire her to create a “Gen Z Sentiment Report” (ZSR). I am thinking to include below. Would appreciate what you guys think could be included. If you have sites, let me know. What products, apps, services are...

Can a market order be matched by another market order

Market makers are required to maintain two sided quote while the exchange is open. They just widen the spread to 0.01x19999.99 if they don’t want to quote at all. I think this is what happened during the flash crash, people were selling blue chip stocks for 0.01 lol

Can a market order be matched by another market order

If it goes to exchange, your market order will take liquidity from the passive order residing on the book. It’s possible for two market orders to be crossed against each other by the broker (internalized). There was a nice post here on ET recently on how PFOF works which explains internalization.

How to Buy Low and Sell High in Today Market Using Options Wheel Strategy

I am trying to do both. One one hand, I want to have a relatively “stable and predictable income” stream. On the other, I don’t want to miss great opportunities when they come up. So I approach these two methods as two separate strategies. When I believe the market is unlikely to rip in either...
