Another boring covered call I did yesterday...Apple

I haven’t gotten to this point, but I thought that if you have assets under corporation, it’s easily transferred by making kids shareholders. Real Estate is not easy to transfer to Corp though.

Do you still get fear in a trade?

I agree. I think it comes down to who you are as a person. Some people fear to run out of toilet paper.

Another boring covered call I did yesterday...Apple

No doubt a good advice, but I have learned that it doesn’t work for me personally. The problem is that I am not very detail oriented (dangerous trait in this business lol), so I just would not TRUST any results from a simulation. There are just too many factors that can skew results (test...

Another boring covered call I did yesterday...Apple

I understand I am selling low, but it’s priced low by the market for a reason. So I guess the question is - is it better to be selling constantly/mechanically regardless of volatility, or wait for volatility to spike? While you are waiting for that moment, I may be taking in crumbs every...

Another boring covered call I did yesterday...Apple

So help me understand this please. Assuming that I will hold the stock long term and willing to live through the draw down, why do I care if IV is low? In other words, I'm not trying to trade in and out of the stock by timing the market. Low IV (small premium on the call) prices in the low...

@MKTrader, was the video you included supposed to support the points you made? About open losses?

Lightspeed Order Flow Finra Violation Dissappointment, Suggestions?

If you don’t take liquidity (non marketable orders) then I would assume it is true for Lightspeed as well.

    Margin account

Yeah got to be careful with IB. I got in a very unpleasant situation last week. I had covered calls on AMC and GME. Then I went naked. Then I tried to go back to CC, but my orders rejected. I had enough BP, but not enough cash(I have PM account). This is counter intuitive because I was actually...

How to see reject reason for an order

Hello, where would I find the reason for order reject in TWS? I got below via API, but don't know how I can display or view this in TWS. 06/02 12:32:14_067591 INFO 5805 error: OrderId:93;201:Order rejected - reason:YOUR ORDER IS NOT ACCEPTED. IN ORDER TO OBTAIN THE DESIRED POSITION YOUR...

SEC: Tesla Failed to Oversee Elon Musk’s Tweets

Although I am not a fan of the pump and dump tactics of his, he is unquestionably a brilliant guy(Steve Jobs caliber). I also think that what he’s doing is questioning the status quo. Just because boomers are still in power, doesn’t mean their rules are appropriate for new generation.

IB switched to shares only for L2?

No, everyone is a good guy. This was done because odd lots were not price protected under Reg NMS. Since stocks went up in price so much, many retail orders were not protected. Now your 10 share of AMZN is protected.
  16. Q

IB switched to shares only for L2?

I think it would be better if they don't screw with the shares and just display what the exchanges publish.
  17. Q

IB switched to shares only for L2?

I'm asking you - If the price level has only 3 shares, how would they display it? Would they not display the level at all? Would they display it but show zero size? Natively, exchanges send actual shares, not in 100's.
  18. Q

IB switched to shares only for L2?

How would they display 3 shares of AMZN?

IB switched to shares only for L2?

How were levels with less than 100 shares displayed?

How is retail day trading anything but a gamble?

Agreed, when I made that statement, I was referring to traders who are constrained by liquidity rather than capital (like prop traders)
