    10-Delta Short Strangles

Right, covered straddle/strangle because it was a bullish environment and I would rather get long than short if assigned. Depending on how wide the strangle and my view on the market, I may try to trade in and out of shares. I haven't done these in a while, but the below one I remember...

You mean unusual options activity? If not, what are you referring to?

can the same trading platform performance vary through different brokers?

How exactly are you comparing? Are you looking at two platforms side by side?

    10-Delta Short Strangles

I haven’t been doing premium selling for long, but as yourself, I have been thinking on how to produce some “retirement income” consistently for a while. I am trading the wheel of sorts, although I prefer to call it swing trading with options. I try to get in the stock with good entry price...

    10-Delta Short Strangles

Right, I got that prior to asking my question. The reason I asked is because saying that you will only allocate small amount is a bit misleading, imho. Once you get used to that “income” coming in, it is hard to stop. So you will likely keep putting new money in when that margin call comes...

    10-Delta Short Strangles

Hey, nice thread. The above sounds like Tasty Trades, but how did you get to below? Don’t they preach to “trade often, trade small?” If you have small account, leverage it up, and take profits out, what will you do when there’s margin call? Will you put money back in?
  7. Q

can the same trading platform performance vary through different brokers?

Sure, if platform is only front end and all the order handling logic on back end servers run by the broker. I assume “performance” means execution speed, not GUI stuff.

Maybe you can walk us through the AAPL trades, please?
  9. Q

can re-routing disable in IB API?

I don’t think so. I was trying to do post-only configuration but I don’t think it works. Maybe there’s a way to specify one of their algos which joins the bid/ask. Hard to get a reliable answer as you know.

CamTheMan’s $5M profits now verified by Business Insider

Yes 2021 is not as generous, but keep in mind that it’s much easier to trade with bigger stack - you don’t need crazy percentage returns to generate same amount of money/income. The pressure is off which lets you be more patient and wait for best opportunities. It’s not about being superstar...

CamTheMan’s $5M profits now verified by Business Insider

I don’t know of any trader that started educational business after making millions(except retired ones). The ones I know of started education business before they started making millions. And those millions are very recent mostly due to the volatility we have been experiencing. I am not saying...

CamTheMan’s $5M profits now verified by Business Insider

I think one of the reasons is that social media is natural for this generation. So l assume it starts as just posting stuff which leads to people asking them to start a service and it just sticks.

CamTheMan’s $5M profits now verified by Business Insider

This is true, but it is also true that some made enough to change their lives. These opportunities don’t come up very often, when they do, taking on more risk is justified, imho. https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/c0376504-3730-4646-8f70-004e73b4e0b8#3fW8nl3m.copy

Sweep orders usually by smart money?

I don’t look at that personally, but my understanding is that the alert services detect group of trades going off at “same time” over multiple exchanges. Or maybe relying on sale condition ISO (by OPRA) https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/index.php?f=7235

Sweep orders usually by smart money?

I am not smart money, but the above makes sense.

Are you watching Level2 to time entries/exits? Why are you trading options instead of stock, sounds like you should have enough buying power.

What's Easier - Swing Trading or Day Trading?

It all comes down to edge. Where can you find it? I bet @Blaze is confusing bull market with skill/edge. Another thing to remember is there are more opportunities in trading intra-day, so it’s more of “income trading.” Swing and Position trading is more of “wealth” trading/investing. If you...
