    IB TWS Stock Lookup Lag

    Nine fingers HFT algo.

This should probably belong in a programming or trading section, but this is where the sponsor resides. Trying to earn some goodwill points(why, it's free anyway). You may find the research paper interesting as well.

Does T3 ever provide capital, or just better leverage? I don't use more than 5x anyway.

They may be making money on both yet you are still getting better rates than retail. Could you please comment on the mkt data fees ... Are they really marked up given that you pay pro (vs. non-pro) rates? Access to data feeds and other resources would be a big benefit, imo.

    Rainbow indicator for intraday

I am afraid these rainbows are missing some ichimoku clouds to be of any use.

Another possible removal of golden handcuffs

There is a big difference between a job or a casino and playing the market with an edge. Not easy, not an answer to other problems, but a chance to gain freedom and scale. Is the pursuit worth it? You better decide ahead of time. Keep in mind that as kids grow up, they need(actually want)...

Another possible removal of golden handcuffs

Listen, I feel your pain, but here are only two practical choices available: 1. Get a job in the industry which may open new doors. 2. Continue "slaving" and prove you can convert your financial knowledge to money via trading. I may be wrong, but I think fan27 has done both and indicated that...

    MOC orders for larger size

I am also perplexed by the comments. MOC orders are widely used and there are not many good alternatives available to retail. Now if you trade thin stocks, maybe you are better off searching for liquidity in dark places.

Being both long and short at same time

Put large Offers in one account, bid in another account, withdraw offers once bids are filled? Brokers have algos to detect it provided you do it on same account. What don't I know?

Being both long and short at same time

Just to clarify, when I said spoofing, I meant the guy in the video.
  13. Q

Being both long and short at same time

But what is the advantage of running in different accounts? Why can't it be run in a single account? Does he need it for spoofing? :)

Being both long and short at same time

Indeed this thread is going in multiple directions at once. I thought the point is to scalp enough to have a free lotto ticket long gamma position. Sorry, Des.

Being both long and short at same time

Robert, I appreciate your input. At no time do I ever think I know more about market making than you :) There strategies where people sit through large open losses to end up small but consistent closed proits.
  16. Q

Being both long and short at same time

Because there's a difference between open and closed pnl. If you believe in mean reversion and have enough time and margin to see it through, you don't need to guess the direction. Book profits and wait for the opposite half to revert back to break even or overshoot in opposite direction. Now...
  17. Q

Being both long and short at same time

So you book profits in one and wait for price to revert in another? That's not what the guy is doing ... he is scalping.
  18. Q

Being both long and short at same time

Are we saying the same thing? "Gamma scalping is the process of adjusting the deltas of a long option premium and long gamma portfolio of options in an attempt to scalp enough money to offset the time decay of the position."
