U.K. Proposed Ban on Shorting Financials Until JANUARY

If the shorting terrorists dump a price down so far it is undervalued, the banks should just come in and buy all the stock at such a ridiculous bargain. Oh wait...the banks don't have any money. So why don't all the smart rich people with the money come in and buy the bank stock dirt...

Question for traders in the IRC #AHG only

my conclusion from reading the AHG thread is that he trades mainly pullbacks, and then trades some pattern breaks IE support resistance. Pullbacks and support/resistance are an awesome way to trade, why would it matter to you what he calls in real time?

    Lost my account

Yeah don't let it get you down. I lost about 40k total over about a 4 year period before I started making money, stopped losing once I got humble and went to 100 shares. Trade small enough that you can make a ton of trades and stay in the game. You only learn by getting in there and doing it...

LEH is a great franchise and Wall Street will not let it go the way of BSC

Well I don't take pleasure in people getting hurt most of the time, but this was pretty funny given OP's attitude. Having said that, sorry OP if you are for real I hope you get it back soon. I personally am sitting out trading today after a tiny profit. Too much volatility with too little...

Next time...get with a prop firm, trade 100 shares max until you show consistant profits. Set yourself a daily stoploss of 1% of your account.

    Is this a good deal?

It sounds like a bad deal. If you can come up with 5k you can get with a standard firm and get 10:1 or greater with cheaper commission and 100% payout. Need a 7 of course. Or you could try and go the swift/keystone approach and get .0002 with 30-50% payout. If 1k at a time is all you can...

How many markets do you trade?

I prefer to trade the same setup in a large number of products, so I can just do the same thing over and over again with consistancy.

Please commenton this Stop Loss Strategy.

The problem is the ES is one of the most heavily arbed products in the world. So everytime it moves a tic there are programs fading it. If you are looking to scalp such a product you need to be more flexible in your stops. Or you could trade a product more suited to tight stop losses...

    beginner prop strategies

They teach us at my firm to simply use level 2 to judge the current market conditions and decide what sort of trade we should be making; IE scalp or hold for a bigger move. Also I use it to try and enter a stock right when most of the liquidity is drying up and it looks like it is ready to...

Who is Jack Hershey and what's his method?

wtf kind of a thing to say is this? I bet you can't find a single professional trader that can't summarize his trading plan in 2 sentences or less.

Who is Jack Hershey and what's his method?

if you can't understand a plan, and no one can summarize it, even its supporters, what do you think the chances are of executing the plan succesfully? That should tell you everything you need to know.

only firms i know of that offer training are bright and keystone. Bright is like 25k deposit plus training fee, keystone is 4k. Maybe others can chime in here with firms that offer training. IMO this stuff really should be a sticky a the top of the forum to save space and trouble for...
