Put your laptop back in the case and sip your drink -- pay attention to the hotties on the beach!

    Why don't more women trade?

I don't think they are hateful comments. As I get older, I realize there are realists and there is politicial correctness run amok. I believe women are wonderful and life wouldn't be the same without them. However, I also realize there are substantial differences between the two sexes...

    Aphie's quest into Futures

Jolly, The price per share of ORCL was $9.20. Unfortunately, there earnings weren't up to par with estimates. However time will tell if they recoup those loses. ORCL hasn't traded this low in a while.

    Tick Charts vs. Time Charts

new2trading, I prefer tick charts. I like to use 50, 250 and 500 tick charts and 5, 10 and 50 MA's. Tick charts are also great for momentum because sometimes a "time chart" won't catch patterns based on momentum. Market Dynamics are non-linear with respect to time and therefore I feel...

who decides the prices the futures ?

Let me guess! You think tupac is really dead, along with Elvis? You also think that we didn't come from Mars 2.6 billion years ago and transformed Earth? You realize that planet is covered with rust for a reason, right? Of course Kennedy was killed by the mafia, with help from the KGB.

who decides the prices the futures ?

Right -- the government does it all the time to induce late day rallys. PPT.

    Tick Charts vs. Time Charts

The release date is Christmas day of this year. Here are the other movies coming out during December (good movie month this year!): • The 25th Hour • About Schmidt • Adaptation • Analyze That • Antwone Fisher • Blind Spot: Hitler's Secretary...

    Why don't more women trade?

Actually, the problem with that picture is that, with a real woman, all those knobs, switches and dials are constantly in need of being tweaked and turned to keep the bomb from going off inside the box.

JPM Warns Big Miss Just After Close

Spoos down hard. PPT must have been using loans from JPM to keep the market propped up all this time. Could get ugly ... Ps: Notice how the trend confirmed the news today. The big boys knew all along -- shows just how level the playing field really is.

And yet another thread reaches its useful lifespan. I think all new threads that are created should come with a sell-by date so that we know when it is about to spoil.

    Real Trading Strategies

That's a good question. I think it is several reasons. First, you have to understand the dynamics of this large group. You have several people here with very large egos, modest people, troublemakers, etc. Nothing that you say or do will ever please everyone. If you start an interesting...

Why do traders fight so often? What would happen if the most well-known ET posters were locked in a 15x15 room for 2 hours?

    Why don't more women trade?

I was curious as to how a woman trader might vent on a "bad day." I've heard of male traders punching monitors, destroying keyboards, attacking other traders, kicking computers, punching holes in walls, etc. What would a woman do? Two guys can get into a fist fight and have beers together a...

    Aphie's quest into Futures

My first papertrade will be an option. The option I will be purchasing is a strike $10 CALL on Oracle (ORCL). The ASK price is currently .60 for the October CALL. I doubt that this price will exist for very long due to the possible strong rally tommorow (Iraq agreement). However...

    Aphie's quest into Futures

Thank you for re-opening my journal. I will be using it to paper-trade and display results for others to view. This is what others have been doing in other journals and I feel this would give people insight into my trading style. Tomorrow, I will be papertrading ES and posting the results...

    why close aphie's journal?!

By the way -- you won't have to worry about the number of my posts. I am sick of the blatant censorship, editing, deleting of posts and other issues with this board. It is a joke. I am no longer keeping a journal on this site. Due to my own views about everything, I am instead keeping it...
