Random Rants and All the Other Goodies

WDGann, Unfortunately many people have a bias towards me. Just like the market, we should try to live our lives with as little bias as possible. Contrary to what you may think, I am a good person.

Random Rants and All the Other Goodies

That's a great post. I think if there is ever a profession that will force you to fix your personal problems and issues, it is trading. It is the only profession I know where you cannot BS your way through it -- like I did in college.

I've posted trades, I've made calls -- I've accepted being wrong in front of 14,000 people. The difference here is that some people sit there and yap and never really contribute. Sure I've said stupid things in the past, but I stand by all my mistakes. I'm only human -- yet Commissio, along...

    I Ching

You are probably one of the most dangerous types of posters on ET. Why? Because you are arrogant, presumptuous and egotistical. You are also obnoxious. You are so in love with yourself, I can't tell where your head ends and your ass begins. What I said is basically the truth. If...

When was the last time Commisso offered strategies? When was the last time he really offered any view of the market or posted any trades? I doubt he even trades. Yes, I'm going out on a limb and assuming he doesn't trade at all. I hear a lot of "your mind is this" and "your perception is...

The 7 Deadly Sins of Trading

What isn't so disturbing is the fact that I am in the center of a bunch of gay magazines, but rather why you would go through so much trouble trying to: a) Make me appear as gay b) Waste time doing stupid shit like that c) Expressing your own sexual insecurities by projecting your anger...

    I Ching

No offense to any psychological gurus in here, but I have to chime in for a moment. Now that I know exactly what kind of emotions I experience when trading futures, I can safely say that this, "feel your inner-self, project outwards, bond with the one, combine with the UNIverse" horseshit...

My thoughts on Journals: They're a great contribution to ET. If you read many journals, you will see that the "meat" of the best advice that can be found on ET is contained in journals. Personally, I closed mine only for the time-being as I get adjusted to trading and can get to that...

The 7 Deadly Sins of Trading

Don't forget that a good strategy is to sometimes "straddle" with your options. Make sure liquidity is good, too. Loose spreads can also be a problem. Remember to keep slippage to a minimum as well.

If you do, make sure he doesn't pull out to quickly from the trade. Ride the profits for all they are worth -- and hedge against any unwanted new commodities.

Children die in southern Italian earthquake

Just because you can't do anything about it doesn't mean you can't observe a personal moment of silence and say a quick prayer for those that are still trapped and dieing. If you aren't religious, then find your own method of expressing condolences. As far as the "god bless them" comment...

    What is an edge?

I think the most important edge is to pick any system that you believe has some type of positive expectancy and to trade that system religiously. I had an edge before trading, totally ignored my old system, took losses, got upset and then realized that the outcome of my efforts was fair...

    Should grown men cry?

Do you feel it is unacceptable for a grown man to cry in private? Men are taught at an early age to be tough with emotions and to "be a man" about it. However I was curious, especially among "elite traders" who are trained to deal with and control emotions, if any of you have just wailed hard...

    GURU/Audited Track Records

Well isn't that a contradiction. How can your audited verifiable trading record be verifiable if you are not willing to share, rent or sell it? Are you going to verify it to yourself?
