    Unloading on MSFT

I cut my losses on the IBM puts and then basically broke even on the MSFT puts when they spiked up. In hindsight, I couldn't do anything with my options after-market, but I realize now that I could have checked the DELTA on my puts and hedged them by going long on the stock before the judge...

lol. Then you could take some of your winnings from CUNT and apply them to a good straddle on COCK. Hopefully ChicagoOne would come out with Futures on CUNT so that we could ARB CUNT constantly. You may want to hedge COCK in case it goes down sharply.

Can you place orders before the market opens? (newb question)

Tips: Don't listen to anyone on ET -- it can be done. It isn't easy. Here is the progression I went (am going through): 1) Total cockiness (i.e. I am a trading machine) 2) Blissful naivity (I could never get hurt in the market!) 3) Total Anxiety attack (I'm in my first f%$%ing...

Efficient market theory; Total junk still being taught to people?

Here is the flaw as I see it: Schools teach this premise -- "The markets are efficient." First, this is assuming that all participants of the market belond to the same set. This set includes equal acess to information, equal trading platforms and speed, equal pattern recognition, etc...

Efficient market theory; Total junk still being taught to people?

I would have to say the markets are more efficient as the ratio of what you know compared to what everyone else knows approaches one. Was the market efficient for those select few who knew THC was going to come out with bad news? Obviously, from their perspective, it could be argued that...

Efficient market theory; Total junk still being taught to people?

Market theory has always captivated me. As far as I can tell, markets are inefficiently efficient or randomly random, etc. There are periods of trends that take place. I've gone over a lot of the math -- some too complex for me to grasp. I am going to New Jersey with my best friend...

Can you place orders before the market opens? (newb question)

The market is 9:30 - 4:00. Then you have extended trading. The thing you want to watch out for is large spreads during extended trading.
