    ruining threads part II

You've shown your exemplary research abilities and cunning resourcefulness. Unfortunately, you are also quite mad. You're precisely the type that is most dangerous in our society because you possess the intelligence to do most anything yet you lack the maturity to temper your decisions...

Say No To Thin E-mini Spread

I used to be for a smaller spread, but after coming to my senses I realize that the .25 spread on ES is perfect. It comes down to this: "If it ain't broke don't fix it" *AND* If you aren't making money now because of a .25 spread in ES, you aren't going to make money just because...

    Tight Stops Nightmare!

Gordon, Stick to the QQQ's or SPY's and a couple of big time stocks. Don't trade futures and don't trade anything else, just stick with those. I've gotten a lot better concentrating on a small subset of trading instruments. I'd rather be a big fish in a small pond than a lost fish in an ocean.

It's cool. Hey can you ship me some Cuban cigars?

POLL: The repercussions of a US attack on Iraq

I do consider myself lucky -- but I try to give back to society in as many ways as I've been given from it. My point is that the United States doesn't feel like the United States lately. I'm not very confident with my current president's foreign policy at all. Bush's father was in...

POLL: The repercussions of a US attack on Iraq

Don't get me wrong, I love my country. However, I don't love the way my country is currently behaving. There is a big difference between not liking someone and not liking how someone is currently acting. As far as people coming over to the U.S. in lifeboats across the Florida Straits --...

POLL: The repercussions of a US attack on Iraq

If the Bush administration is serious about fighting terrorism, perhaps they could start by stopping to terrorize the rest of the world with our, "gung ho -- we don't need your consent to go to war" policy. If Iraq is a threat, than we can deal with that threat when it becomes actual and...

    Palm Pilots and Futures Trading?

True but if you just want data for one stock, it only takes a few bytes of information to send the order and a few more bytes to get somewhat real-time quotes for one instrument. The trouble would come if you entered ES long while also entering a tunnel and then lost your connection, only to...

    TRIN and es

The trin is a measurement for stocks, and since futures naturally lead the market, I would say no. I've looked closely at the moving average of ES and that of TRIN and have never found any benefit of trading ES from TRIN.

POLL: The repercussions of a US attack on Iraq

You shouldn't globalize your own life experiences and assume others have lived similar experiences. I'd be willing to bet that: Over half of the U.S. population above the age of 15 doesn't know who the Secretary of State is. 10% probably don't know who our own president is...

    colorful chips

Poker chips are called "chips" because they used to be made of wood. In the game of poker, you have red chips (cheap ones), white chips (more expensive) and blue chips (the high valued ones). Companies considered to be "blue chip" stocks are named so because it is thought that these...

George, I've been busy using INANDLONG's 5 trillion dollar IB account for beta-testing Jasper. I'll put an update up this weekend for everyone. :)
