So I don't use stops and I think the math supports this.

I don't see where I mentioned stops, only that you haven't spent the time to test your theory. But thanks for answering a question I didn't ask. Good luck with your trading.

Speculating is a business. When I have fun it usually costs me money.

R/R & Win Rate - Is It Good Enough

I agree with Noah. (Pretty rare :) ) I have such a system and I'm happy with the performance. What you have to give us now is the rest of the story. Such as what risk, position size, and number of trades. Day, swing or position trading?

So I don't use stops and I think the math supports this.

Now if you told me I had to sit in front of a monitor while the market was open 5 days a week I'd consider that work. Now I have a passion for the markets and I like to make money. If I couldn't make money I probably wouldn't be speculating. But I spend maybe 1/2 an hour a day and make about the...

So I don't use stops and I think the math supports this.

Hey SML! I believe that several times you said that you don't want to do any work, you just want to make money. If you are a successful trader then you'll know the work required.

Everyone wants to be a successful trader. No one wants to do the work!!

So I don't use stops and I think the math supports this.

Any time I read about what should happen I tend to be a little skeptical. I'd rather read about data that has happened.

In Texas idling rigs make more than mining crypto

I don't really understand anything about crypto miners. My understanding is they try and sovle a riddle and if they succeed they get rewarded in tokens. If they are anything like conventional miners they burn thru cash like it's going out of style. Doesn't mean you can't make money trading...

In Texas idling rigs make more than mining crypto

Keep in mind the reason that RIOT makes money when they are down is because they lose money whe they are operating. As a customer I would want guaranteed service. If the power company suddenly shut the power off without warning or compensation I can see lots of lawsuits. Better to have a method...

In Texas idling rigs make more than mining crypto

The energy credit is applied against their power bill. I wonder how much the power bill amounts to? Keep in mind that they are still losing money and credit will only get more expensive as interest rates are still increasing.

    Does trendline work?

Regardless of where you draw your line, the question remains how do you use them in your trading? I use them as an exit signal. Thanks for the explanation.

    Should i put 300k into an S&P 500 ETF?

The Bard left a bunch of stuff out. No mention of cash or bonds.

    Does trendline work?

Not sure what I'm supposed to see. Both lines show a down trend. I'm not a day trader, but what significance does that particular trend line have, being that it's on a one minute chart? The red is the line you would get if you used a line chart that plotted only the close. The yellow shows the...

El Salvador, the failed Bitcoin experience

I just skimmed the post, it's from reddit afterall :) El Salvador officially switched in 2021. Since the switch the economy hasn't tanked. More to do with cleaning up the gangs and cutting retirement entitlements than BTC.

    Should i put 300k into an S&P 500 ETF?

Likewise. I'm stricktly a technical trader. Don't pay to much attention to the news, by the time it gets to me it's old news. I find if the price direction and the news differ, price is usually right.

El Salvador, the failed Bitcoin experience

I agree; Too early. I see seveal headwinds though; US dollar is the official currency. You lose to inflation but it's a fairly stable currency and until that changes there is little need for Bitcoin. The population is relatively poor and only about 35% own smartphones or have access to...
