The journals of a winner: crgarcia!

Why would anyone be skeptical of a post like this? Could it be that there was no mention of the buy until after the trade closed?:D :D :D Real time is posting in real time. You know like when it actually happens. Thats a pretty simple concept. Where you sitting now? Long...

    Passage to $1 Million

Could you please expound on this point and give an example of market action that would cause a stop to be valid when the trade was put on and become invalid as the market progressed. I keep hearing that you only move a stop in the direction of the target, never in the opposite direction.

The journals of a winner: crgarcia!

I didn't actually see any realtime posts. I don't consider "I sold something I bought a while ago" a realtime post. Realtime to me has a date stamp less than 5 minutes older than the trade. The post closing the position quotes the post opening the trade. Realtime is the only way to...

    Passage to $1 Million

You will find that successful traders who post real time won't have much of a following. It's hard to argue with success and ETers love to argue. Best to you Smiles, thanks for the updates.

If you want to fail as a trader, study TA

Yes that is a hard one to figure. I have the greatest respect for RN. He is usually respectful of others although I don’t think he has much use for Jack. I appreciate that RN is quick to point out BS. I am surprised that RN has supported and defended TE. It’s the only reason that I...

    Price Action Traders

If it was easy then everyone would read it and make money. There ain't no " wait for this set-up; take it ; go to the bank" Holy grail. Ya gotta figure it out yourself. Brooks might help. I don't think Jack will.

    Price Action Traders

If you are talking about the book. Yes it has helped the way I think and trade and the bottom line. I won't give all the credit to the book as my system was evolving and I may have ended up in the same place without it. Every little bit helps.

How to read Al Brooks: As NoDoji said start with the glossary. Next read the “Trading Guideline” Randomly pick a chapter and read it. Spend 2 or 3 days looking at a 5 minute chart with no indicators. Re read the chapter. Re read the guide line. Rinse and repeat. It is a...

How to learn to take profit?

Take a look at your risk reward; If you start with a 1 to 2 risk reward ratio so that you are risking one dollar to make two, when you get to within 10 cents of your target you are now risking $2.90 to make the last 10 cents if you let the price hit your original stop. Consider trailing...

How to learn to take profit?

Depends on your system. Win rate, Risk/ reward ratio, etc.etc. When you say not taking ptofits are you hitting your target and not closing the trade hoping for more or are you getting half way to the target and seeing the trade reverse? Is the problem the strategy or the trader?

New trader. Is my strategy ridiculous?

Alberta Oil Patch $250,00 not uncommom for what would be considered unskilled anywhere else. Skilled labor makes more. Some small towns had to pay upward of $20 per hour for 7-11 employees and still couldn't stay open 24 hours because they couldn't find enough employees.
