Looks like a market break out brewing

Funny how when the market is up 1% you post in 5 different threads like an excited teenager who got laid for the first time. I don't even care that you've been a permabull spewing meaningless crap for a year a the while getting your ass handed to you - what bothers me is the fact that you...

    Another huge rally today

You're two for two today on posting that the market is surging followed by an immediate market sell-off. A perfect contra-indicator.

Wow, huge rallies ain't what they used to be... less than 1% in the Dow and S&P...

    wi fi router question

A wireless connection is inherently less stable then a wired connection regardless of how stable the wireless router/AP is. I'm sure this is going to sound condescending no matter how I phrase it....how did you get put in charge of doing the office networking?

    wi fi router question

Cisco Aironet 1250. But I agree with the other poster about the sanity of going wireless for trading; Is wireless just a backup connection option or is it the primary/only method for the office?

Charging ahead to push electric cars

I strongly disagree. Serious research effort into high-performance high-capacity rechargable batteries has only recently begun because previously there was no commercial demand - existing rechargeable technologies were sufficient for the intended purposes/products. Lithium-Ions have only...

Charging ahead to push electric cars

Your reply is a non-sequitor. Rabbitone said that consumers will be unlikely to buy a electric cars because of expensive battery packs that wear out. I replied that is not a problem if you put a long warranty on the battery pack so that consumers would not have to worry about that concern...

Charging ahead to push electric cars

To simply say that batteries don't function well outside of 40-80F is demonstrably false. You didn't even mention which battery technology you are talking about - there are many currently and more to come. That's a function of battery capacity, there is no inherent limitation with electric cars...

    IB vs TD

Oh my bad for not reading carefully - I've never seen that happen with TD, seems odd that they would mess with your limit order price like that. 1010=20, I have both IB and TD accounts but I only use TD for long-term holdings, not for trading. I've always assumed since they are paid for...

    IB vs TD

Are you sure that the .7603 order is yours? The reason I ask is that many a times I have seen bots that will front-run your orders - you place an order at .76, it places an order at .7603; you cancel your order - it cancels its order, rinse and repeat.

    is this guy for real?

AFAIK, YM is electronically traded only. Not sure why it is relevant that there are pit-traded DJ futures contracts (that are not YM) If I am following a YM system that uses hard stops then I expect that anyone following such a system would place a stop market order and thus overnight trades...

    is this guy for real?

I was a subscriber in 2007. I found discrepancies between their site and reality such as when a stop on YM was hit overnight that was not reflected making the "hypothetical" trades useless. Here is an email exchange with their support about a stop that was hit that they ignored: --- Me...
