    Retail sales number very good

Can't keep doing stimulus forever - we have this little problem called a deficit. Markets are forward looking - do you like what you see coming down the road?

    Penson sent 1099B by email

This year Penson (who clears for MBTrading) sent my 1099B for futures trading as PDF attachment via regular email with the non-descript filename of "Summary2009.pdf". I didn't even notice it until I contacted them to ask why I hadn't received the 1099B by (postal) mail like I had every...

We have to address this issue. Paying off your home or not. So much foolishness

This varies by state, stating categorically that all home mortgages are full recourse is not correct. Here is a list of non-resource states, California being the biggest: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Which_states_are_non-recourse_states_for_mortgage_debt There are also other issues such as...

I made my last 438 k mortgage payment just now. My bank doesn't seem happy.

Whatever happened to personal responsibility? Banks should be motivated to not write bad loans but ultimately the decision to take out a mortgage is the made by the consumer, you can't put all the blame on the bank.

I made my last 438 k mortgage payment just now. My bank doesn't seem happy.

If you own a $400k home which you owe $200k on and it goes to foreclosure then you don't "lose it all". After the home is sold and the $200k mortgage is paid off you get the remainder ($200k) ... something about the story doesn't wash. Other than that I agree with the overall point...

I made my last 438 k mortgage payment just now. My bank doesn't seem happy.

The bank isn't my friend but my 4.5% 30-year fixed rate mortgage is....Oh did I mention its tax deductible too? Would never consider making any extra payments never mind paying it off entirely early.

The economic split up between Brazil and the United States

Whatever you say Fred - yea the US has already collapsed, LOL, what a joke. Believe me, when the US collapses you will know it - right now everyone, including foreigners, are trampling over each other to buy US govt paper which is why the yields are so low - I wonder why that is if we are...

The economic split up between Brazil and the United States

Comments like this really crack me up - yea, let's see what happens to the rest of the world after the american economy collapses....I'm sure every other country will just continue humming along just fine and there won't be a worldwide depression. Keeping telling yourself that enough times and...

The economic split up between Brazil and the United States

That's one way of looking at - the other is that these posts counter-balance SA's continuous stream of propaganda posts that drone on and on about how great Brazil is without ever providing balanced views. Reading his garbage you might believe Brazil is an up and coming world power when...

Senator Jim Bunning blocking benefit extension!!!!

I wish every congressperson would vote with the same nothing-to-lose attitude instead of being more concerned about their political future than the future of America. That being said, based on other stories I've read, Bunning may be more interested in burning the Republican party...

Most Windows 7 PCs max out memory

Actually 32-bit OS can address 4GB of RAM without resorting to PAE, the reduction down to 3.x GB usable is caused by the OS reserving space for addressable devices, primarily video card memory. There is an excellent article here by Mark Russinovich for those interested in the nitty gritty...

    360 computer card?

Oh, I thought this might be trading-related since this is EliteTrader...never mind...carry on.

Most Windows 7 PCs max out memory

Agree with everything you said with the caveat that anyone running a 32bit version of a Win OS would not benefit with more than 4GB of RAM.

    360 computer card?

I'm probably going to be sorry for asking but...since you only have eyes on the front of your head, why would you want monitors that you can't see without turning around? Also how do you plan on getting in and out of this setup, crawling underneath? Even using 8 monitors forming a circle...
