Listen I apologize for all of us here! Please do not be offended by our harmless jokes. As a psychologist I regard sense of humor as the only true measure of true intellect. We are not laughing at you at all. We are just making fun of your innocent misspelling of the word "Indicator". Please...

BTW out of sheer courtesy we should all thank the thread originator for giving us this unique opportunity to exhibit our skills in interpreting the most unusual Contra Undicator around! Thank you!

HA, HA, HA !!! :D You made my day today again! Thank you. I was feeling really bad this morning and was in a short trade that was not making it! So the mood was pretty miserable! You saved the day! The trade is over and I had a few good laughs! Have a nice weekend! God bless you!

Although I have no doubts that Mr. Bollinger admired his wife Undicators I am now convinced that he was thinking about the Bollinger Sparkling Wine rather about his wife when he developed his bands. After all, it’s easier to predict the future after a couple of “Bollingers” than after...

Well, you should be careful with those CONTRA UNDICATORS! You never know when they reverse on you! I’d use tight mental stop losses to be on the safe side!

I am sorry, please tell us more. Thunderdog! You should be ashamed of yourself! You are trying to distract a "serious analyst" from sharing his wisdom with us! I personally find his UNDICATOR very useful! I was in a crappy mood this morning (getting flu or something) and now I am all better and...

Why do I see "Trends" in Randomly Generated Data?

This type of the distribution is not symmetrical thus inherently it is skewed by a BIAS (a DC component or the variable offset, what ever you want to call it). A zero crossing game described in one of my papers posted on this thread is a perfect algorithm to capture that BIAS.

Why do I see "Trends" in Randomly Generated Data?

A beautiful, crystal clear explanation! A very well articulated and explicit example of the deep understanding! I enjoyed it! Too many people are too complacent about their grasp of processes that occur in the market place. Too many illusions and perceived patterns! The most important and useful...

Why do I see "Trends" in Randomly Generated Data?

I think I have already answered this question. Just to reiterate: What you are saying is that there are 10 balls in a hat, 2 are red and 8 are black. In this case the probability to pull out a black ball is higher then to pull out a red ball. However the process of pulling balls out from this...

Why do I see "Trends" in Randomly Generated Data?

I see better now where you are coming from. As I said in my previous post, you are probably trying to state that the markets are not Normally distributed. This hypothesis gives you a method of shifting the win/loss ratio to your favor. That's totally understandable. I can even show you a very...

I see that. It's good that you found something that you believe in. And, as I said, I like the fact that you are very methodical with it. Good for you man! I wish other people could learn to be that methodical. Good Luck!

Why do I see "Trends" in Randomly Generated Data?

Oh I see now. The confusion here is that you mistake notion "Random" with the notion "Normally Distributed" ("Gaussian") process. Yes, it can be shown that a symmetrical game (a game with equal "buy" or "sell" rules for example) has different outcomes if played on the random processes with...

Why do I see "Trends" in Randomly Generated Data?

I am not trying to mock you or anything. As the matter of fact I am glad that you asked the question. It shows the interest and it is good enough for me. I welcome any interest. But sometime it is difficult to seriously answer the question that has a faulty logic in it. I probably will be much...
