Is this a selling gift S&P?

if it's a GIFT??! with an attitude like that... I give you another 9 months or so before you bust. There are a few "gifts" in the market so to speak... but they are few and far between. And why call them gifts. So that leaves the idiot part. No one is an idiot for entering any position...

Is this a selling gift S&P?

adding to a loser... ??!! something I rarely do.. ...can't understand the reason to do it! More money has been lost that way than in any other. Sure, there are the times you can average in as your positions go your way... and yes, there are times adding to a loser works out. But why fight...

The S&P has topped at 1150

based upon what reason? And what does "I wouldn't be so sure...", mean. Is that like a random guess? It is a full moon week... so anything IS possible in this volatile market. But I just wondered if you have a reason for your thought. I tend to believe we do not rally until next week...

    CNET woulda coulda shoulda

sorry for not replying sooner... just got back online now... I definitely agree... and I can certainly identify with what you said....!! If the corporate guy has a spat with the GF or wife, he ain't gonna lose a weeks' pay or more from lack of focus or decisiveness. He can slack off all...

    CNET woulda coulda shoulda

I am trying to understand why you're kicking yourself for missing a point or so; heck in this market you can find that and much more every day. Guess I missed the point. Look at MERQ yesterday, for example; and many many more each day/week. My advice is : NEXT! Have a good one...

SethArb.... Bro, do you... really...think it is the interent connection??!! I had all my quotes disappear 5 tmes this week, including 10 minutes ago; options and equities. All my other feeds etc., were fine with my cable modem running AOK according to the cable service. I never saw...

The S&P is looking very toppy

gotta give credit where it is due... james made an AOK call... whether or not he has any positions to th extent he claims... which is likely the case. my 1150 Puts went up almost $10.50 today... didn't expect that until February. Bought some calls at day's end for a scalp if we get any...

The S&P is looking very toppy

Hmmmm... "me thinks you protest waaayy too much" for a guy who always NAILS the SPX top!! Why don't you go off into the sunset with all your profits from selling the perfect calls at the perfect time... and NAKED, no less??! The guy never legs into a spread ... never goes long a call...

The S&P is looking very toppy

waggie... it's obvious the guy doesn't have that kind of open naked position... ... notice how he always looks for a top only, never a bottom off any PB, and notice how he always CLAIMS to have sold the strike right above the expiry level. Amazing accuracy. I doubt he has any major...

    Qcom

well I'm bored, so thought I'd ask who thinks (or cares if ) QCOM gets arbitraged to at or near $60 by days end. The 1/60 calls going down the tubes as is typical with expiry and so many new public participants likely long same. MS obviously has the other side since they downgraded on...

    Cutting through the hype

I second that... how can anyone who is reasonably humble and realistic NOT say that there is value to be found on ET. I bet a person with that mindset probably looks at many things as having little or no value. Like nature for instances, etc. :p ICe

    Cutting through the hype

And THAT is (imho) a small but important "part" of the so-called illusory holy grail of trading... ICe
