    This is intolerable

I trade a lot of KLAC... so you're the one whose contributing all that money to my accounts... ?!! ((just kidding)) :p :p Well... I agree with your frustration. I think anyone trading for 14 weeks ought to be close to success by now... and making money hand over fist. Maybe 38 weeks is...

    Trading around announcements

So how does that (what you say above) relate anymore to trading after announcments... than to generic trading on any given day. Isn't direction/trend always a consideration and challenge... in some respect. I might add... however, I do not day trade much. I

    Chicago Et Meet

well I am directly west of the loop now..... kinda far from downtown; and I think some others live west or north, also in the suburbs. I like the downtown area, but just can't get real motivated to motor down in cold, snowy weather. Now later on in Spring with some outdoor "scenery" around...

Is this a selling gift S&P?

    I rest my "case" !! why not just buy/sell another position(s) in a different equity or option, or another futures position in a different month for example to "help offset losses........"? Huh? Regards, ICe

Is this a selling gift S&P?

Thanks for taking the time to reply... The key word in your reply is "whim". But had you said what you now said... I might not have debated it as much. But what we WERE debating (socratically I might add) was why add to a position that is losing.... rather than adding on to a winner. And...

Is this a selling gift S&P?

don't forget that today is a full moon... I had been anticipating some kind of large move...! Seriously, I have my calendar circled with all full moons... Wonder how many others key into full moon weeks/days. It definitely exacerbates the moves in both directions, particularly when they fall on...

STOCKSTALKER 2.5 RELEASED - REGISTER FOR A 14 DAY FREE TRIAL

gonna give the trial a trial. :p have been trading the same 10-12 stocks all last year... and was just thinking earlier this week about finding some websites for some new ideas... and since I'm technically oriented for the most part (and discretionary), this might be worth a look. Good...

Is this a selling gift S&P?

Y that was in my original point.. and most good traders I have known have a knack for adding to winners on the way up, or down... in fact, that "knack" is what separates the wheat from the chaff, imho.. all the way to the bottom line! regards, I

Is this a selling gift S&P?

no need to defend "adding on" if you're convinced you're not really adding to a loser.. and that the higher (lower) level represents an even better entry point than what you first presumed was a "gift", that has now turned out to be a decent loss so far. I do add on in options strategies...

Warning to Hedge Fund Manager Wannabe's

I agree with that... Trading does affect fragile persons the most. Yet all of us can feel great angst once in a while. But only a few will take drastic steps therafter. After all..... there are many losses in life, and yet not everyone kills themselves over it! I had a friend do the same (age...

Is this a selling gift S&P?

:p:p:p:p what is the ENORMOUS difference?! so if you have a decent loss on your first entry, it's not a 'loss' as soon as you convince yourself... "hey, I'm just "scaling into" more of this; NOT really adding to the loss I already have on paper"? Ok..... I got it! Just took a...

Is this a selling gift S&P?

I gotta get a kick out of posts that contains not a single mention of any R/R since you're posting about scaling into positions (or rather adding to a loser as I see it)??! So, what is your reward for all this risk?! What is the ST downside on SPX/ES. What month are you in?! Hope it's worth...

The S&P has topped at 1150

his trading tactic is: he's not telling the truth. He's got some psyche situation going on inside and he gets kicks thinkng any seasoned trader would believe he had a 200 lot short on the SPX to make a mere $2 with unlimited loss. Give me a break! ICe  p.s. if he did I...
