BBY suggest getting into calls - earlier lows was a great entry level I tried to sell Dec 42.50p - didn't get my price -- was going to spread against March 42.5p - with intent to roll up - its my "belief" that BBY will trade above 45 - and then be marked to the 47 level. the sell...

personally - I think any price movement in VLO from now until Friday - is to a significant degree related to expiry pressues. 100 is a likely pin price for Friday --

there is a small unfilled gap from 11/14/05- and it has found support there- the stock could trade back to 95. But -it's hard to figure it would do it this week with option expiry pressures. Possible though

    iceman's options trading journal

Ok I have been following TRI on another thread-- didn't enter it- so of course it began to climb higher almost 3+ points - amazing the power we can exert on the markets when we try to get too cute and find the so-called perceived perfect entry. Like it knew I was waiting to enter at <40...

you are correct that's why I re-sold Dec 110c - still sticking with my backspread (ratio spread) - if it stalls then I might convert it to bear spread (115/110)

thanks - VLO printed at 102 - I see (I "re-sold" the VLO Dec 110c- to open) . but unfortunately it apparently can't be done everytime since I f*cked up on my BBY positions after calling it perfectly. Did everything perfect right up to the time when I -- changed my fricking mind! I sold...

Yes-- I do believe that is exactly where we are heading --- unless I'm the sucker at the VLO table. Only problem is "they" are not moving the OTM options much which is a barometer to some extent of future direction into expiry. well the illusion (i.e. my prediction) of $100 on Monday has now...

well TRI did trade near 40 and change and now has moved higher -- was waiting for it to break 40 before entering calls - so will keep it on radar screen- not ready to enter just yet -although 44-45 is doable as is <40 -- post expiry.

hajiimow did u consider buying Dec 30c - selling Nov 30c ? I mentioned it in an earlier post at which time it could have been done for -.45. The scenario (plan) was (is) to have front month expire worthless and then have DELL trade up to at least 31 post-expiry. ((plan B would be to sto...

you've been right on so far-- -- did you trade it though? I was basing my projection on expiry pressures pushing it higher after the premium has now been sucked out of the front month calls on most of the strikes where there was large o/int - and rewarded the put buyers (who bought cheap...
