    EMA of SMA?

This may be a result of Wm Blau's book where he says some nonsense about double moving averages having less lag than single MAs. It's pure voodoo mathematics.

    The ignore list

Previously, threads started by those on my ignore list were invisible. Now they are all too visible. Please fix this.

    Why read published material?

LMAO! If you needed 10k hours to get through kindergarten then you must be the slowest member ever of this website. More likely, you've just got hindsight bias on steroids.

    Why read published material?

If trading was so simple, we'd all be rich. Virtually everything appears simple or obvious in hindsight, but getting to the point where you can view something like a profitable trading strategy in hindsight is a lot of work IMCO. Go read the first post in the "Ghost of If You Can Draw A...

Protecting intellectual property for a excel plug in, How?

Encrypt it. How? No idea. Contact a software company you like and politely ask them how they encrypt their plugins. Maybe there's an off-the-shelf app that does this.

World's 85 richest have same wealth as 3.5 BILLION poorest

And you can bet the plutocrats, most of whom seem to live in the USA, will continue to whine that the poor have too much money and the rich don't have enough.

    Why read published material?

Every now and then something gets published that is actually useful. Not a full money-minting strategy but an idea or technique that can be a component of one. Good reading.

    Finding Work after Quitting Daytrading

I'm serious, I think the poor dude has flipped out. He wasn't posting like this last year.

Dude seems to be rather psychotic, truth be told. First total flip-out I've seen online. :(

    Every Loss is Permanent

One of the most incorrect statements I've seen in this website. If all your wealth was converted to cash and I made a big bonfire out of that cash, that would be a complete destruction of your wealth. Wealth isn't energy. It absolutely can both be created and destroyed.

Is Jeff Bezos the world's most successful con artist?

This thread is hilarious. ET is a trading site, not an investing site. Who gives a damn if Amazon is minting coin or riding a bubble? Oh yeah ... investors. But this is a trading site. We get in, we get out, hopefully with a profit. If you're concerned about being "married" to Amazon...

Is Jeff Bezos the world's most successful con artist?

No, to answer the title question. When you pay a con artist, you get nothing for your money. When you pay Amazon, you get something for your money. This is a silly thread. If you feel Amazon stock is overvalued, then ignore it or short it.

    Finding Work after Quitting Daytrading

Psychological issues. Anybody who feels the loss of $1 ten times more than he feels the gain of $1 needs professional help. Just saying.

    Every Loss is Permanent

+1 In another thread the OP says he's quitting so it looks like this thread is his big FU to trading. :p

    Finding Work after Quitting Daytrading

Losing is supposed to be a part of your strategy. Cut Losses Short is ancient wisdom in the trading world. And fortunately trading is nothing liked a boxing match. As somebody who's been punched in the face, I'd rather take a losing trade any time. Toughen up or get out of the game.
