just today-neighbor stops by : hey..i bought a new Mercedes! well ..great! i'm riding on 2000 Nissan altima..and paying same amount for the college as your new Mercedes! and i do this every f** year..feels great :p my point is simple-the whole system in US( as for now) is designed to keep...

Trillion dollars in student loan debt. Young people can't afford a house, family.

#2 -That's what i do,but still..you will end up with 30K min. keep in mind that if you want to be a doctor or any other top paying degree that required significant amount of education(not typical 4 year)-forget about community college..their programms just too weak..you don't have many choices...

    Unofficial TWS bug thread

ok, i did update my TWS to a latest build 935.3 and latest java. my usual question to Ib's developers-why you always f**)ok..s**) with original user settings? i mean-are we guilty on something by default or what? is it too hard just to leave us alone and NOT enforce any changes after update...

HFT robots seeing orders before the exchange ?

same thing that happens on flash crash.. if there is no other participants-they will drop the bid as low as they can and you will f*** real good.. but for some reason-SEC and DC are still 'studying" the cause of the flash crash

Trying to get a snapshot of realtime pricing of 600+ equities

i did run few tests on yahoo data in the past and it's pretty accurate(last price, volume) and cost about 15$ but i agree on last sentence and like i said earlier-IQ feed would be his next stop, if Op want 1000 per sec :) but definitely not IB

5 f** times i tried to sell at bid today on one not so liquid piece of shit stock . 5 f** times! SELL AT BID. every time they withdraw it and move bid few cents lower. how about that? finally-IB picked my shares just to resell them for couple pennies more 5 seconds later. what a world we are...

Trillion dollars in student loan debt. Young people can't afford a house, family.

like i said-30K per year is NOTHING! pocket change..add housing, food(and it could be that you must reside on campus and pay whatever they charge you) and that 30 K quickly became 60K. couple K for books(and you can't use old ones. no no..not allowed, must buy from college and that STATE...

Trying to get a snapshot of realtime pricing of 600+ equities

what's the point? to get 100 tickers in 1 second? did you read my previous post? i can get 1000 in same time(and i've done that) using yahoo real time like i said before-you will be stuck either on limit per second per request or messages per second, when you getting your data. end of story

    Unofficial TWS bug thread

Trying to get a snapshot of realtime pricing of 600+ equities

really? how so? explain it here. with Ib's limit of 100 tickers and limited messages how the f** you going to accomplish that? no worse advise than a wrong one. OP-yahoo real time is your best, cheapest and easier bet. imo-yahoo multiple requests isn't a problem cause it's super fast. it's...
