    TradeStation vs TWS vs QuoteTracker

if u spend a little time with booktrader (TWS's DOM) you will find that you can program bracket orders with it as well, and ime it is faster than bracket trader. i thought bracket trader was decent, but booktrader can do the same stuff, generally speaking.

    Factoid for the PermaBears

dollar cost averaging into the stock market, there has never been a 20 yr period where there wasn't a positive return, and in most of those 20 yr periods, the market was a better investment than most asset classes. this doesn't say much about TRADING anyways. but it says a lot about investing

House of Cards ready to fall

here in the real world, market cap and size matters if there is X dollars margined in a 10 million dollars market that is more worrisome than 2x dollars margined in a 500 million dollars market, even though the latter has twice as much money margined apparently, statistics and math are too...

Which games resemble the game of trading the most?

jack... math is math unless you are trading 100% riskless arbs (which i doubt), your trading has an element of chance grow up successful trading can (given sufficient "n") render the element of chance largely irrelevant. see: game theory, etc. but saying that chance is not...

    This bubble is rediculous!

EX-ACT-LY in the LONGTERM, the market regresses to a mean, and securities are (generally) reasonably priced. that's why, in the longterm, it's good to buy weakness and sell strength. however, in the short term, stuff can stay "overbought" for a REALLY REALLY long time. it's absurd to...

Which games resemble the game of trading the most?

" chance are found in most games. And they are not part of trading." chance is most definitely a part of trading. much like other games where u incorporate game theory, as long as u have an edge, you can win a game where chance is present. given sufficient "n"

Which games resemble the game of trading the most?

i agree that chess is not a good analog for trading at all. ESPECIALLY day trading. games that incorporate game theory, management of risk, and chance as an element are closest to trading poker is clearly analogous, for example.
