Does anyone actually believe in God or are they just afraid...

All it need be is the inevitable result of natural forces. No fallacy in that.

Does anyone actually believe in God or are they just afraid...

I would say....Chicken feed! How about one in 10 to the 2,685,000 odds against you would be born. Basically zero odds of you being alive. And yet those impossible odds are overcome by completely explainable natural events, and have been 7 billion other times as well. Your argument from...

....or some other simple fairy tale. For instance Goldilocks...'just right'...even better. Yeah that'll work. The old - enough self-important anthropocentric hubris to get so messed up you start thinking you could influence a universe..... and even do so billions of years before anyone...

Does anyone actually believe in God or are they just afraid...

Right, so now after 7 years, you're no longer saying your "Creator" chose or could have chosen to make the universe as it exists. If it didn't choose to, then the Universe.... what exactly?...doesn't exist? If it did choose to make it the way the Universe does exist then, according to...

Take it up with Jem then. He's saying it can't be any other way. Were things any different the universe would "crush" as he puts it and "would be a disaster". Clearly suggesting the presumed Creator has no alternative, no other choice. No free will!

Does anyone actually believe in God or are they just afraid...

Just a couple of posts previous, anyone can see how you even lie to yourself, so it's not surprising there's no truth in the above. Likewise then, both statements - the Earth appears flat and the Earth is flat, you're saying are true :D At least you’re making progress. Unfortunately it's...

Quote from Jem: lying about what Jem said... :D

Does anyone actually believe in God or are they just afraid...

Oh dear. Thought you were using your sockpuppet again did you :p.....or have you finally gone completely total, talking in the third person. You've just acknowledged a paper explaining why a zero or slightly negative value of the cosmological constant would be expected to maximize galaxy...

Lol! The kind of religioscience you must be sucking up from staring at the same couple of vids as you post here a million times is what you must presume the "state of science" to be. But as you can't differentiate between that and what the actual state of it is, you wouldn't recognize...

Does anyone actually believe in God or are they just afraid...

Indeed. But I'll give it a shot :D But then the title of the thread makes one wonder why Jem is constantly trying to force a deity into science and pitting religion against science for years, if not in fear of it . Him being as ignominious as ever, it could be anything, like all his chairs...

Does anyone actually believe in God or are they just afraid...

If I got all information from only watching the videos you do, then I'd understand as little as you. what you say is untrue.....it simply is not known what value the cosmological constant will turn out to be. And anyway...

Nah that's just a position everyone has to assume to read your posts.

Whatever. Post less and spend more time looking for your 'plausible celestial teapot'.:D That sure must've gotten under your skin :p

Multiverse is scientifically falsifiable in principle. God isn't. A falsifiable God would immediately become something, like gravity or quantum fluctuation, in line with the physical laws of the Universe.

Are you suggesting now that any value must be fine tuned , including zero, and an ever so very slightly non zero also - as if nature is incapable of falling into any value by itself. You've proven nothing other than how much you're relying on mentioning multiverse to prop up your deity...

    - infinity...and beyond... -1 more Standing by your comment is fine but doesn't make it any more correct. The only certainty to do with not having belief is that there is no belief. Further questions of certainty are irrelevant. To be susceptible to any idea in the way you suggest is...

Move away from that mirror when you're trying to type, it's confusing you. Lambda (cosmological constant) is still being implied not confirmed in the current standard model of cosmology just as it was in Einstein's and Weinberg's time . One of your own interminable pastes above says...

Does anyone actually believe in God or are they just afraid...

-2 ... at least Not clear where your open mind or humility is to say every atheist lacks both those things. Generalizing that way can hardly be called open minded. Ironically , if anyone wants to say its all settled it's the theist. Godidit is their answer to everything. Talk about closed...
