    a Traders story --

With all due respect, I know a lot of very successful people that are huge sports (particularly) football fans regardless of what your anecdote is.

Marc Faber: Treasurys Are A "Suicidal Investment"

I would say Marc Faber making "dooms day" claims isn't really news.

Gold:longest bull run in 90yrs- demand manipulation for the bulls

You might not listen to as much AM talk radio as I do, but I can assure you that there have been dozens of companies advertising gold as an investment since at least 2001. I've heard them. Cash for Gold buys gold, if I'm not mistaken. Is it possible that there are plenty of companies that sell...

Gold:longest bull run in 90yrs- demand manipulation for the bulls

I was in and out of GLD for much of the run up, so it worked pretty well for me. I got out around 1,220, so I've missed the last leg up. I feel like it still might have a way to go, but the top isn't too far off. When it comes down, it's going to be nasty, IMO. Of course, my opinion...

Deutsche Bank Sees S&P Hitting 1,550 Next Year!!!!!

Exactly. If bears spent half as much time and energy getting long as they do complaining about Bubble Ben, they would at least be able to make some money. I don't claim to be a day trading expert, but it's pretty apparent that the FED is going to do whatever it takes to get money flowing...

    Transaction tax in germany

Germany, France, GB, the US, etc are all democracies. We pretty much get what we deserve because we are the ones that vote for these obnoxious clowns.

    Obama urges CEOs to Hire

Here is the problem. For the past 4 years (since the Dems took congress), Obama, Reid and Pelosi have been threatening businesses and their owners with increased taxes on virtually everything..... -Higher income taxes for those making >$250k -Higher corporate taxes -Higher capital gains...

    Obama urges CEOs to Hire

Right, but this is the same guy that vilifies CEO's and business any chance he gets................ Unless, he actually needs something from them. And I disagree that voters don't keep tabs on the unemployment rate. I would say outside of your black voters that literally get bussed to the...

    Obama urges CEOs to Hire

Everyday this clown looks more and more like a complete economic novice. "Mr. CEO, will you please ignore productivity, demand and profitability in your business and just hire out of the kindness of your heart?"

How big is the narcotics industry?

Your math is off. The US deficit is north of $40k per man, woman and child in the US.

One upon a time poor people were called "the working class" now "the lazy class"

Yes, but you can certainly provide incentives for companies to hire, as well as adjust trade agreements, tax policy, etc.

One upon a time poor people were called "the working class" now "the lazy class"

This country needs legislation that will help create more jobs, not legislation that extends benefits.

    Wow, 99er's get extension ?

The vast majority of them will actually be incentivized to find a job. It might not be as great of a job as they feel they deserve, but that's the free market I guess.

    Wow, 99er's get extension ?

That is interesting. I hadn't heard that before and it certainly isn't portrayed that way in the media. Do you have any other sources for this?

Most Americans Say They're Worse Off Since Obama Took Office, Poll Shows

I don't place blame solely on Obama for getting here. You have ups and downs in economics. There are probably 100's of policy decisions over the past 50 years that have led us to where we are. The problem is what is he doing to fix it? Also, Obama does bear some responsibility, as he and...

Most Americans Say They're Worse Off Since Obama Took Office, Poll Shows

That trend line would be unemployment rate, or any number of employment figures that tell the story of no job growth. As to your second point, that is true. However, I would argue that Obama and Pelosi are very close in policy and ideology. Current politics aside, they had almost identical...

Most Americans Say They're Worse Off Since Obama Took Office, Poll Shows

Totally misleading because I would imagine Bush's monthly average unemployment for his entire 8 years would be in the 5's. If Obama can get his average down to a comparable number for his term in office (assume 8 years), he could argue that point.

Most Americans Say They're Worse Off Since Obama Took Office, Poll Shows

Also, at least Bill Walsh's trend line was improving, having won 4 more games in his 2nd season than his first. The trend line for jobs is flat and starting to look even worse. The trend line for debt is skyrocketing....

Most Americans Say They're Worse Off Since Obama Took Office, Poll Shows

Please tell me specifically what Obama has done to create jobs... I have seen him bailout union after union and spend a lot of borrowed money on "green jobs" and other pork barrel projects. I have seen him increase our debt to a breaking point, all the while adding another massive...

Most Americans Say They're Worse Off Since Obama Took Office, Poll Shows

Most Americans, at least the ones that aren't deadbeats, are smart enough to know that Obamanomics doesn't work. It's easy to see that it's "amateur hour" in the White House. While the economy is on life support, he's too busy passing job-killing entitlement programs, while at the same...
