Unemployment rate drops to 8.8%, Obama guaranteed for 2nd term?

That is true, but he can't win with only the deadbeat class. In fact he can't even pose a threat of winning with the entire Democratic base. He needs over 50% of the Indy's and most of those people work or are retired (as proven by the fact that they're not Dems). I believe that segment...

Unemployment rate drops to 8.8%, Obama guaranteed for 2nd term?

The dreaded "inflation" that the inflationists have been sounding the bell on for the past 5 years is finally upon us it appears. Regardless of what the data says (I say that because obviously the govt has a vested interest), I can see it happening in my business at an alarming rate. Our...

Unemployment rate drops to 8.8%, Obama guaranteed for 2nd term?

Numbers are only that....numbers. Everyone still feels and lives the insecurity of the job market and those that are unemployed, are still unemployed even if they are not counted. Also, there is a lot of time left, and many different scenarios can play be played out, both good and bad for...

The American Dream has been shattered for highly skilled immigrants.

No it's still alive and well for talented, hard working people. The days of supporting a family by working 40 hours/wk at an assembly line are pretty much over, but that was a temporary 50 year blip anyway. The government has become the new way to earn a living without having to work more...

    Switzerland has the money

Considering how long this thread has stayed in the Economics forum, you could make a decent argument that this is not a serious board longer. Just a bunch of conspiracy theorists, liars and people suffering from mental instability talking to themselves.

    Switzerland has the money

OK, please point to the value in this post and how it relates to economics. All we've heard so far is that Switzerland "has the money" as if no other countries have money. We've head that the "US has the arms" as if no other country has arms. Here's another gem..... "Russia has secrets"...

Constitutional Amendment in North Dakota Would Abolish Property Taxes

That's what is so damn beautiful about the way the country was intended to be..... ie: limited federal gov and most of the decision making left up to the states. That way if there is something you don't like or you have a better idea, it is reasonably easy to change. Unfortunately most...

    Switzerland has the money

The US has 28x Switzerland's GDP, so no, Switzerland doesn't have "the money".

    Switzerland has the money

Can we please ban this moron? 80% of his posts are worthless. This belongs in chit-chat obviously, not economics.

China Moves to Save Gaddafi as Russia Warns Of ‘All Out War’

I am not a fan of NATO. I would love to see the US end it's support of NATO.

New home sales slowest in at least 50 years

You can definitely make some money on a real estate purchase today. Obviously it is night and day compared to 2006-7. Take the opposite trade from those that purchased with no money down, right before the collapse and you'll see some capital gains.

China Moves to Save Gaddafi as Russia Warns Of ‘All Out War’

Maybe that's for the best. You have probably heard about times in history where Germany "participated" more frequently....:D

1/6 is Hispanic. USA unofficially a Latin American Country

As I said, this apparently doesn't equate to standard of living or wealth, at least in relation to this country. We seem to have done better than most multi-lingual countries.

1/6 is Hispanic. USA unofficially a Latin American Country

Please share the reasons why "it is very important to teach at least two languages". I find that pretty funny considering we seem to have done just fin as a country with the vast majority speaking only English. The only real advantage I can see is convenience for those that don't want to...

1/6 is Hispanic. USA unofficially a Latin American Country

What I fear is the way these people will vote in the future. There isn't one Hispanic country that maintains a well functioning, respectable, fair, non-corrupt democracy.
