Warren Buffett is becoming a pain in the rear end.

Exactly. I don't understand why Buffett doesn't walk the walk. No one is stopping him from transferring most of his assets to the government or setting up charitable foundations that transfer wealth.

Warren Buffett is becoming a pain in the rear end.

Jesus, with logic like that you'll be "failed_xxxx" for the rest of your life, regardless of profession. LOL

    Bloomberg warns US jobless riots

Bloomberg is a closet-socialist. Socialists are always trying to push the youth to riot.

Is it irresponsible to have kids these days..

Actually the problem with birthrates is that the people that really "shouldn't" have kids, have them in droves. The people that are actually responsible enough to have children, often wait so long it is either too late, or they are only able to have 1-2.

    Very well done indeed.

Krugman:Euro could collapse in a few days time

Martinghoul, What is your take on the European situation? You seem pretty in tune with the debt markets and such over there. Do you see a Euro collapse? Is contagion unavoidable?

Krugman:Euro could collapse in a few days time

The Euro is doomed to failure, IMO, but timing it is another matter. I'm just not sure how politically feasible it is to continue pushing for bailouts of your next door neighbors. It's hard enough to get people to bailout their own banks, let alone Greece's

    The plot thickens..

The situation in the Middle East will not end well. It may take months or decades for all I know, but at some point, it will end badly. There are just too many "not-so-bright" Muslims out there. MAD doesn't work with them. They are very easily riled up and manipulated.

Saving them from default is what I meant.

Greek bonds pricing default? 1-year 82%

There is no saving Greece. Turn out the lights.

USPS on the brink of collapse unless Congress intervenes

It's really that easy to fix many (certainly not all) of this country's problems. However partisan politics and special interest groups make it damn near impossible to implement easy fixes such as these. In this case, the Dems and Postal Union would scream bloody murder. They will do it under...

USPS on the brink of collapse unless Congress intervenes

Some of the fixes are pretty simple, but when a union is involved, it's impossible to use common sense approaches to fiscal stability. 1. Close 1/3 of existing post offices. Make self-serv kiosks more readily available. Grocery and convenience stores would likely pay a small monthly fee to...

White House expects high unemployment into 2017. USA, USA, USA.

Generally the WH is going to opt for the most "rosy scenario", so that is not good news.

Our federal government is so broke, that Buffet has become the PPT.

Agreed. This has desperation written all over it. IMO, the markets will not look favorably at "Operation Twist".

    Democrats Reveal True Nature

Have you seen the latest polls? It's not going to matter, unless things change radically. Romney is leading Obama Perry is tied and has only been in the race a week Ron Paul is withing 2 points and Bachmann within 4. If Ron Paul and Bachmann are within the margin of error, you're in...

Homebuyers now stepping away real estate, blaming it on the bear market drop.

How ironic that a HS teacher is complaining about property taxes being out of control

Homebuyers now stepping away real estate, blaming it on the bear market drop.

Never, ever look to a salesperson who is incentivized to sell you a product or service, for an honest, unbiased opinion. Of course they are going to compile a reasonable argument for why it's a good time to buy their product, so they can make a commission.
