Do you catch tops and bottoms?

What I mean is that when a trader enters a trade they do so because of X (may be fibonacci, elliott, moon cycle, S/R, MA, MACD, etc.....). So when they go long they are signalling that due to X they believe (or forecast, or think or hope, etc....) that the price will go up. And when a trader...

    short data

AFAIK the only up to date data is available to institutions and not the public. The exchanges provide delayed data that can be as old as a month or more.

    EBAY.. short sandwich

As well as the already mentioned law-suit they have two others against their PayPal division which can materially affect them. So already 14% of profits gone! Poof! and the PE from 100 to 120+ with the possibility of moving much higher, to say, 300. That is if they lose the other two. On ISLD...

    Do hot women traders exist?

I'm not sure if Richard has passed on his "oracle of the Dow" genes on to his daughters Betsy and Lauren but they are hot IMO. Am I right or am I right? Lauren Betsy (left with Russell on right)

    THE MARKET WIZARD THREAD

vishnu, You mean Lancer? I heard a lot of posh people got their heads handed to them. Britney Spears is reported among the investors. Byron, is doing a great job of covering the story, as usual. Okumus? I have my doubts about that guy. He's just a kid. But then again Sir John trusts him...

    Florida Money World Conference

The Renaissance Mining IPO or private placement story that TraderMike refers to (above) is very interesting and educational. I don't think that Mike 'touted' this POS knowingly but was rather an unfortunate victim of shysters taken in by greed. I have no idea how much he potentially lost...

    Babak's Journal

I caught a segment on CNN's in the money titled 'Stock Whiz Kid'. Could you resist a segment like that? Turns out its about Chris Lahiji who has read all the annual reports of ALL public companies: and who started a 'fund' (actually just a list of picks online) called the Lahiji Tiny Fund...

    FTSE Hedge Fund

Noticed this hedge fund company managing something they call a FTSE option programme that is supposedly based on an 18 yr old formula for short strangles developed by Leonard Berney. I've looked at the historical performance and it is impressive (in up and down markets). So what gives? Is...

Did you remark that yahoo/bigchart historical datas are false ?

There are 2 ways to calculate highs and lows for an index. One is the highs/lows that would occur with all the extremes of the components and the other is the high/lows that actually occured. Hope that clears it up.

    Annika Watch

I like golf and play it and I'm all for women's involvement in the sport but does it warrant putting her score on top of the indices on CNBC? Who is in charge of the screen design over there, that red-headed kid in the Ameritrade commercials?

    Selecting an off- shore country

P2, could you explain the feeder structure? I've heard it a lot and know that all large hedge funds have it but how does it work exactly and how does it accomplish tax avoidance? To throw my $0.02 I would have to recommend Turks+Caicos. Based on British law, time=NY, very clean and...
