    News You Can Use

Brandonf (or anyone else): Why did the market react lukewarm/negative to INTC yesterday (I think it lost 0.13 in aftermarket trading) and now its up by a dollar? What happened between then and this morning? Thanks.

the trend is up, market has bottomed.

C'mon Guys! Lundy has stated over and over again that his time frame is weeks/months. Yet every day people deride his views "because his call didn't turn out". Well his call is bullish but it also has a time component. Reminds me of Taleb's new book. He mentions that when he is asked whether...

    Pro Money Manager Question...

I mean no offense, but you shouldn't be calling your sister "a pro money manager". That is an incredibly aggressive portfolio for someone 91! When building a portfolio take into consideration [1] person's time frame (when they will need the money) [2] person't goals for the money (what they...

How do you use support and resistance?

lundy, S/R are interchangeable. When resistance is broken, it does not prove that it really wasn't resistance but that it was overcome by aggressive buyers. It then changes to support (those that shorted the breakout will buy to cover if it comes back down). Isn't this the basic theory of S/R?

Experinced traders only please ,Profit goals vs. buying power

Mike, You are mixing two things up. These two things are: 1] people that would like to sell/buy at a certain price 2] people that do in fact sell/buy at a certain price I'll use your example. In WCOM, there might be many who want to sell at a certain price. But they find that there...

Experinced traders only please ,Profit goals vs. buying power

Pardon me for interjecting a comment here but every transaction that takes place on an exchange is a pairing of buy and sell orders. There can never be more buyers than sellers. I think what you mean to say is that for a rally to take place, buyers have to be more aggressive than sellers...

Going to hell in a hand basket

for short selling? You gotta be kidding. On the Nasdaq you can SS on an up bid, whereas on the NYSE you need an uptick. A big difference. And you're order, whether short or long, is not handled by a person who monopolizes the market day in day out...I'm told they prefer to be called...

    Another Suggestion Baron

Baron, I respectfully disagree. You are right, there is no method that would prevent intrusion at 100% efficacy. Be it your home, auto or computer. But does that mean that people don't use locks/alarms, and firewalls to prevent such break in attempts? Right now ET is like a house with...

rs7, I think only our grandchildren will know the truth. After all it took that long for the world to acknowledge that Roosevelt had foreknowledge of Pearl Harbor but decided to do nothing (other than moving 5 aircraft carriers far to sea) inorder for the attack to galvanize the country for...
