At 11:10 pm ET, ES is trading right at the top of the short-term price channel on the 240-tick chart at 1442+-. If the upper trendline holds and we get a downward confirmation bar, it should fade at least 9 points to 1433, and possibly go much lower. On the other hand, if the upper trendline is...

So now I guess the question we must ponder over the weekend is: Is 1436 the low point for this correction, or do we go lower before the bull market resumes? On one hand, conventional wisdom is that a bull market correction should be about 10%, and we're not there yet. A 10% correction would...

Just the opposite for me. Great end to a terrible day. I got killed most of the day trying to call the bottom and go long, but finally came to my senses and decided (way later than I should have) that the bears were unstoppable. So I went short at 1450.75 and was lucky enough to cover at...

My presumptive S/R zone at 55-57.5 has now been criss-crossed a bunch of times with no follow-through in either direction. The zone is obviously invalidated, and so I'm lost. I'm on the sidelines until I find myself.

    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

Well, I'll admit it...I'm frustrated! :( I show S/R zone at 55-57.5. Penetrated decisively to the downside, so I went short at 1455.00 with stop at 1457.75 (one tick above zone). Promptly got stopped out. I don't have a clue which way we're going from here. I envy Wave, who...

I tried to get a second bite of the apple at 1459 but didn't get filled. If I can't get a second entry for an add-on, I'll probably just start trailing stops when and if HOD is reached.

You're probably right. I show us right in the zone now, but a break above it warrants going long. Whoops, there she goes... L 1457.25 SS 1454.75 (2.5 points, just below bottom of zone) PT HOD
