Stopped out at breakeven. What a bunch of bull! :)

My stop is also at b/e. The bulls are in fine fettle today.

    S 1470.00 BS 1471.50 (1.5 points) PT 1455.00 (15 points, close-the-gap) Vol, do you think rule-of-10 will stop it at 1460?

    Rule of 3? :)

My guess is that you've got a winner there, although I'm not sure the rule of 10 is valid these days (more like rule of 40). :)

Nope, short was premature. Closed it out at breakeven when price action looked funky. Long again from 1465.50 with close stop, looking for 1468. I'm guessing there are some buy stops above 1466 to propel us higher. We'll see... EDIT: They're making a valiant attempt to move higher, but so...

Closed long for a modest +2. Now short from 1464 with 1.5-point stop. RSI and MACD historgram divergence suggest down from here, although one more high above 1465.25 is certainly possible.

Welcome home, hombre! Your chart shows a resistance zone of 1455-1464, and that zone has just been penetrated to the upside in AH trading. (Glad to say I'm long.) I would not be surprised to see a run of buy stops that takes us up to 1468 soon. (It's about time for the 3am ET fireworks.)...

A bit too cryptic for me to decipher. Care to translate? :)

Here's the H&S from Wednesday that presaged the big drop Thursday.

This is a 240-tick chart. I find that tick charts work much better than time-referenced charts in current market conditions, because they effectively expand the time scale when trading is fast and furious and compress the time scale when trading is slow (e.g., after hours). On Thursday, I was...

    Well that certainly didn't work!

I agree 100%. MACD histogram divergence is also confirmed by RSI divergence (each of the lower lows corresponds to a higher RSI.) These are strongly suggestive of an up-move from here. I'm long small size in AH from 1456.50 with 6-tick stop.

I'm done for the day. Net +22 points. I missed the entire initial downmove (slept through alarm and didn't start traing until 10:45 ET), and made some boneheaded mistakes that probably cost me better than 10 points, but it was still a profitable day so I'm not complaining. Sorry I didn't post...

Oops, I screwed up. Meant to close both positions at 81.25 but accidentally closed only add-on position. Initial long still running. I don't like being long here, Out at 1475.75 for +3. That buttonology mistake cost me 6 points, dammit. Lesson learned.

Late start, missed the big down move. Started trading about 10:45, been catching some decent scalps for +9 points total while waiting for homerun long. Presently long from 1472.75 (+4 unrealized) with breakeven stop. Dunno whether this is the turning point for the homerun long, so...

Oh, you must mean the following system: "Holy shit, it's going up! I better close out my shorts and get long!!!" "Aww crap, now it's going down! I better close out my longs and get short!!!" Ah yes, I know that system well. I've even made some money with it. :D

If we stop here (1502-ish), it's about the same level as the 11am high and well below the 2:30pm high. H&S anyone? I might just wind up going short in the AH...

Guess not. Covered second unit at 1495.50 for +7. Might have jumped the gun, but now flat, EDIT: Darn ... hit my 88 exit point after all (but with me not on board). Don't you just hate when that happens? :)
