At 1:46 ET, I added on to this short at 1441.00. At 2:04 ET, I closed out both positions at 1435.00 for +10.75 and +6.00. Now flat. My outlook is still down, but I think ES is getting a little oversold here and need a pause. I know I do. I'm going to have a bite to eat, and then come...

My work shows a very strong S/R zone in the 1448-1450 area. We penetrated that zone on a spike Friday morning when the Fed made its announcement, again late in the day Friday, and yet again in the pre-market this morning, but could never get any real upside momentum going. About 9:45 this...

Sorry to see you go. Enjoyed your posts and trading style. Believe me, you're not the only one who has problems with the ET server! Catching up: Shorted at 1395.75 at 1:43pm, covered at 1388.50 at 1:48pm for +7.25. Long at 1389.50 at 1:51pm, sold (too early) at 1400.50 at 2:05pm for...

Yeah, I think I remarked earlier that this looked like a scalper's market. I'm a little out of practice, but I must just dust off my scalping hat and try to grab a few points here and there until the ES decides where it really wants to go. My price channel on the daily chart shows potential...

I'm not convinced it's anything-ish. Been straight sideways since 8am.

No follow-thru, so out at breakeven. Can you spell S-I-D-E-W-A-Y-S ?

One more try here... Long from 1395.50 with 3-tick stop. If this works, it'll be a great entry. If it doesn't, it's 3 ticks.

Anyone else think this looks like a DB? (8am and 10:30am ET.)

Looking at daily chart, two things strike me: 1. We haven't had a daily range less than 20 points in ages. Perhaps one is overdue. 2. Presently trading within 10 points of the bottom of a 90-point-wide descending price channel. This makes long-term trend down but most probable...

Long here from 1403.75, with 6-tick stop. EDIT: Stopped out. Memo to self: If I'm going to trade with these close stops, I have to wait for better confirmation before entering. (I can see B1S2 smiling.) EDIT: Move from 1392.50 to 1409.50 to here (1397) is way more than a standard 50%...

Stopped out at open. That's what I was afraid of. Was hoping to get well above my stop before the open, because it always whips around in the first few minutes. Presently flat. EDIT: Still unclear about market direction here, so remaining flat for now.

Went short for a scalp from 1403.50, closed at 1400.50 for a quick +3. Long from 1401.00 Stop 1399.50 (6 ticks). If I'm wrong, I give back half my scalp. :) My anticipation on this long is not a scalp, but rather long yardage. First PT is 1414 (13 points).

Good morning, all! It looks to me as if ES has just broken above a descending price channel that started yesterday in RTH from a peak of 1445. I am turning bullish here and looking to go long on a pullback. Presently flat. I will consider my analysis wrong if 1399 or lower paints again.

I'm out of this trade at 1406.00 for +5.25. Price action not behaving well here, but not comforable switching to short either. Flat until the AM.

Our super-slo-mo rally from 1400 topped out at 1407.75, then retraced exactly 50% to 1404.00. It should go up from here (and is painting 1407 as I type this). Price extension calculation puts the next target at 1411.75, a couple of ticks above the target based on my trendline. Moving my sell...

Some resistance here at 1405, which is a minor trendline. If it goes higher (and it looks that way), my next target is a major trendline at about 1411. I presently have a sell order just below that. If it violates 1411 to the upside, I'd be looking for a re-test of 1422 (and I'd probably...

Amazing! I went long from 1400.75 with a 1-point stop. Last paint 1405. I haven't decided whether I'm expecting a normal little retracement here (scalp trade) or a full-blown re-test of 1422 resistance. I'm gonna keep watching until I'm ready to hit the sack, and then tighten my stop so I can't...
