Be careful! Apex went to Mexico, and no nobody's seen him for a week!

I'm out of this trade at breakeven. Can't seem to get any real momentum going to the long side here. Flat until I get another setup in one direction or the other. I really was hoping to see a nice run of stops above 1473, but the bulls seem to be taking an early nap.

Yes. In fact, I specifically beat myself up yesterday when I was short and the price met my PT1 and I got greedy and decided to try to hold out for PT2. Stupid, stupid, stupid! :)

Revised PT1 is 1475.25. Imagine doing this back in the days when you had to phone your broker, and then he had to phone the floor trader...:)

Wow, that happened fast! When I didn't like the price action on this trade, I lowered my BS to 1468.75 and doubled it, so if hit it would switch me to long. It was hit, which puts me -1 on the short trade, presently long from 1468.75 with a 3-tick stop at 1468.00. If I'm stopped out of this...

1463.75 now invalidated. Looking for the next move to be up to 1465.25. EDIT: Long from 1461.25, 6-tick stop. Initial target 1465. EDIT: Stopped out. 1454, here we come?

Recalculating here... The 1454.75-1453.25 area is looking more and more likely to me. Presently flat, but I would be inclined to try another short from 1463.75 if we get there, with a close stop.

Not to be. Trail-stopped out at 1462.25 for +9. Now flat. 1454.50 is still not out of the question, but if it gets there, it will be without me. R/R doesn't let me re-enter short here.

Stop lowered again by 3 points to 1462.25. I am going to keep trailing down and see if we can make m PT2 at 1454.50. If so, that'll be a nice move from my entry at 1471.25.

Lowered stop again by 3 points to 1465.25 PT1 almost reached (1 tick miss so far). EDIT: There we go! PT1!!!

Spec, when you say "nice symmetry," you mean as in H&S?

Oh, if that were only true! :) In this case, my homework last night indicated resistance levels at 1466.50-1466.75 and another at 1462.50. I stupidly missed the entry when 1466.50 was touched (would've been a great entry). I went short on what looked like a bear flag breakout when ES...

Dammit! MDT, I entered on the 5min bear flag breakout, like you, and got my chops busted, just like you said. Ben's off my Christmas card list. :)
