Squeeze indicator says time for fireworks to begin (one direction or the other). EDIT: I was wrong. They're not back from lunch. They went directly to Starbucks, and they might go straight home after that to beat the traffic. :)

If you're nimble enough and trade what you see, that could be a wonderful scenario! :) Remember those marvelous days before the Fed eased when you could trade three coast-to-coast moves a day? However, on a Friday before a three-day weekend, I'm skeptical. EDIT: I think the boys are...

Still long from 1562.75. Next measured move target calculates out to 1572.50, which corresponds exactly with a 20-point gain on ES from yesterday's close (4:15 ET). A 20-point gain on the S&P cash would put us at 1567, which corresponds to about 1578 on the ES. Not predictions, just...

Losing momentum, out at 1563.75 for +1. :( EDIT: Changed my mind. Back in long at 1563.75. (Re-drew my trendline.)

Long from 1562.75, close stop. QUESTION: Does ES trade normal Friday hours today, or is it truncated for Columbus day like the financial futures?

FWIW, I projected a measured move to 1585.25 on this forum weeks ago as the fifth wave up of a fifth wave up. Of course, measured moves are not predictions, just targets.

Doing the math here, your "uncle" point is 35 points or $1750 per ES contract. I believe you have advocated risking no more than 4% of trading account capital on any one trade, which would require at least $43,750 of capital per contract. You've not mentioned how many contracts you're holding...

Spooz, could you clarify the "wedge" you've been talking about. You posted a chart earlier but it didn't show a wedge, more of a symmetrical triangle or pennant. As I understand the terminology, a "wedge" formation is a triangle where both upper and lower trendlines slant in the same direction...

Good question! Seems to me that there are times when I'm "in the zone" and am able to move with the ebb and flow of the market with ease and accuracy. This morning was one of those times...seemed like I could do no wrong. Then there are times (like yesterday or this afternoon) when I feel...

Got what I deserved: Out at 1549 for -1.5. I really need to add a "quit while you're ahead" rule to my trading protocol. Well, at least confession is good for the soul.

1551.50 (just touched) is 50% retrace of decline from 1556.50 to 1546.50. Do we penetrate and continue up, or do be bounce off of it and resume down? Only the shadow knows. EDIT: I'm long from 1550.50 because I think the trend is up, but admittedly it's a complete crapshoot and I probably...

Retest of 1447.00 missed by a tick. I take that as bullish. I'm long from 1548.50, close stop. Hope to hold into the close, although I'll try my best to trade what I see, not what I hope. :)

Presently flat. At 1554 ES touched a descending trendline on my 15-minute chart. Considering going short from here.

Just closed the gap based on 4:15. Question is will we close the gap based on 4:00? I just closed my long at 1553.25 for another +2.50. Today's total now +7. Thanks for the kind words, Sax. Yesterday, nothing worked for me, and I was almost tempted not to trade today. Today, everything...

My long from 1549.00 just hit my trailing stop at 1551.25 for +2.25. So far, I'm +4.50 on the day. JSSPMK, nice call on the "possible short here"! Curious what you saw?
