Yeah, me too... ...provided you count the digits to the right of the decimal point... :)

Do you consider any of the regular posters to this thread to be "perma bears"? Personally, I'm a short-term bear, (for days or perhaps a couple of weeks), an intermediate-term bull (I think we'll see new ESZ contract highs before rollover after a pullback below 1500), and a long-term bear (I...

I'm not trading ES (still traveling, presently in Albuquerque, headed for Tulsa tomorrow), but shortly before Apex made his post and well before Spooz Top made his, I bought 2,000 shares (about $100K worth) of SDS, the Pro-Shares Ultra-Short S&P 500 ETF that tracks minus two times the SPX. I...

So long as you continue to leave me with 43% realized profit per trade before you do, I don't mind. However... Point well taken.

I was in the air and offline during market hours Friday. I landed after the close to find that my raised stop-loss was hit on those SPY Nov 155 calls during the intra-day dip. So I'll have to settle for a 43% realized profit instead of the 87% unrealized profit they would have had by the close...

Just shutting down the computer here to head for the airport... The SPY Nov 155 calls I bought yesterday are now up 75%. Raised my stop-loss in case something bad happens while I'm in the air, but hoping to hold them to FOMC for a homerun. My last post for awhile...good trading!

Lovely trading day. After closing out my SPY 150 puts for a 20% gain, I bought SPY 155 calls at the equivalent of ESZ 1513, and they're already up 30%. Holding those overnight, hoping for a double. First time I've ever tried daytrading options instead of futures. Reason I'm doing that is...

I've noticed this phenomenon many times, although never before heard the explanation (which makes perfect sense). Seems like most of the time when there's a heavily lopsided number of orders on one side of the DOM or the other, the market moves TOWARD the side with the most orders (which is...

Just sold my SPY Nov 150 puts purchased just prior to yesterday's close at SPY 150.20, ESZ 1508.50. Bot puts at 2.36, sld at 2.85, for slightly better than +20%. Now flat.

I share that view. I went short just before the close yesterday (not ESZ, but bought Nov 150 puts on SPY) looking for a decline on ESZ to at least the 1500-1505 area and possibly as low as 1480. I think the intermediate-term trend is still up and expect us to at least re-test contract highs, but...

You just got your wish. What was that? Some news event? This may well the last chance for a bite of the apple.

Yup. Measured move target from here is 1480.75. I'd certainly like to see us get into the 80s for a decent opportunity to get long before FOMC.

Bearish divergence here? Bear flag awaiting downside breakout? <img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=1652833 width=800>

Short of some huge news event (like another .50 FOMC rate cut), you could hardly expect any rally to have THAT much conviction. The sell-off was vicious. Rebounds aren't often vicious...except maybe at blowoff tops just before a crash. There's a good reason for that: Fear is a stronger...

Interesting confluence of opinions: What's the chance that the market will first make Spooz Top happy, and then turn around and make Apex82 and Spectre2007 happy? :) I'm not trading this week or for the next two weeks due to travel, but I am looking to put my retirement plan portfolio...

You're looking for a low-risk long entry where? 1519-1520 ESZ would be my best guess here.

Pardon my French, Anek, but what the hell kind of trendline is that? Where I come from, trendlines are supposed to connect swing lows. Yours touches exactly one swing low, and the rest of it is totally arbitrary -- some lows violate it while others don't reach it. That's not a trendline, it's...
