    es vs. equally liquid instrument

The intra-day volatility I was referring to is on short time frames - seen on tick charts. Over a longer period you will not see it. The volatility is because futures are a 0 sum game combined with HFTs causing spikes to shake out weak hands.

    The Best Trading Proverbs

One of the best rules anybody can learn about investing is to do nothing, absolutely nothing, unless there is something to do. I just wait until there is money lying in the corner, and all I have to do is go over there and pick it up. I wait for a situation that is like the proverbial shooting...

Donald Trump drops strong US dollar policy

Presidents historically do not make comments on their opinion on the dollar - especially when the direction they wish it to go would significantly increase their wealth - or at least reduce their debts. Not raising interest rates will destroy the economy - first all the big pension plans would...

It does not matter what type of order you use, obviously you can use limit orders on SPY also. The ES tick is $12.50 and you eat a tick on your entry. The SPY tick is $5 (0.01x500). SPY is about half the trading cost not matter how much you may not want it to be. Math does not have opinions -...

What do you consider a good yearly return? (In percent)

Cr80r said "started on April 18th 2016 with $10k and was at $3,513,412.98 on October 11th 2016" I believe he claimed to be using 200:1 leverage. Amazing what someone with illusions of grandeur and a keyboard can come up with. Now his story seems to have morphed into something a bit more toned...

Actually most of this is simply incorrect, actually all of it except the sizing. You are misinformed than. All of the pros I mentioned are facts - try doing some research instead of just assuming. Do you think the bid-ask spread cost in the ES and SPY is the same? Do you think when you buy a...
