anyone here making 7 figures a year doing this?

Yea truly good share th0masq. Making the big is the easier part, keeping is always the hard part. This applies to investors as well. History has shown us the wealth made in big trending markets are given back by the vast majority in the preceding bear market .

Bitcoin Trader Made Millions Trading on Margin — And Then Lost It All

Sounds like the losses were in 2018, if this story is true & accurate and this is a U.S. citizen they will have a massive capital gains tax to deal with on the gains made in 2017, this could be into the 7 digits. Making a lot of $ in trading is one thing, keeping it is the hard part. Bubbles...

the reason indicators don't work isn't because they're lagging

Agreed - not all indicators lag, that is if your platform updates the indicatoe on the current price bar. The real point I was trying to make is that volume (equities only) & momentum (not the indicator) are the only things that precedes price. Indicators report only what is or what has...

the reason indicators don't work isn't because they're lagging

Indicators are derived from price & volume - that's why they lag. Only momentum and volume precedes price. * Volume on equities that is -I don't think this applies to futures *

How certain are you of the trades you place?

I believe every trade I put on has as just as much chance of ending up in the loser pile as any other trade. By default I assume every trade I put on will be a loser - and that is fine with me since it keep my defenses strong like they should be when putting $ into the market.

What does Ed Seykota mean by "everyone gets what they want from market"?

It was a good interview, however it just scratches the surface of his perspective. It was a Zen like interview - Zen brilliance in it's simplicity. Here are some of his quotes below. From what I learned about him his systems were very simple, as in two moving averages. He did not interact with...

What does Ed Seykota mean by "everyone gets what they want from market"?

You would have to read the entire interview in Market Wizards to grasp the context of his statement' everybody gets what they want'. He uses an example of a trader he knows that always trades $10,000 up into millions in substantial new bull markets but always gives it all back. He says this...

Mulple brokers, multiple CME data fees?

You do not have to pay for the IB data feed - I sure don't. You will still be able to trade without their market data. https://www.interactivebrokers.ca/en/accounts/fees/marketData.php?ib_entity=ca

Is it too late to become a daytrader at 30?

Well that's odd - according to Forbes list of the highest earning traders in 2017 there is only 1 of 25 that looks like they are under 40. I suppose they were 'sensitive to losses' and cut their losers quickly - something that is often a big hurdle for younger traders to overcome...

Is it too late to become a daytrader at 30?

Anyone can day trade. Last time I checked brokers will not reject your application to open an account if you are over 30.

TICK and TRIN suitable for Swing Trading?

Yes - tick can help your swing trading. Just keep an eye on it. When it hits extreme readings and other things line up like a multiple bottom formation on declining volume than you have the potential for a good swing trading. In this example I use the price formation, volume, and tick. * Note...

Kelly Criterion & Risk Of Ruin As Risk Management Tool

Short Sale - Stop Loss trigger early

That response by the broker is ridiculous. The crossed the market to trade way through the protected NMS quote and failed to report the trade in NMS. From what I can tell there are two violations here. I would report this to FINRA and find a better broker...

Short Sale - Stop Loss trigger early

The level -2 on the 16th shows no orders were filled above $20.30 on this very liquid stock. What they did is called a 'trade through'. This goes against Reg NMS rule 611. They also failed to report the trade on NMS. You have a valid gripe. I would fight to get that trade reversed, meaning you...
