20-50mm size in FX with IB

Dukascopy offers access to SWFX pool. I witnessed around 200mm each side there myself during the most liquid hours (Europe/USA overlap).

Experienced futures scalpers: Chart or DOM

No overconfidence here, just practical evidence as opposed to your theoretical assumptions. :) If you know exactly how to read order flow, why don't you make consistent money with this technique yet?

Experienced futures scalpers: Chart or DOM

Know a couple of very good traders who vote for SC too.

Experienced futures scalpers: Chart or DOM

Must clarify that DOM is mostly used by me to quickly enter orders at the desired prices, not for analysis. Charts tell everything that happens in the market. Throw in some volume and delta and you get the whole picture. :p

Experienced futures scalpers: Chart or DOM

I am only recently a futures scalper (after 5 years escape to spot FX :)), but now find DOM very good tool for quick order entry/adjustment. So my vote is for DOM.

20-50mm size in FX with IB

SWFX consistently has like 200MM of EUR/USD per side not further than 1 pip away, should be way enough for nearly everyone.

    Dust

Adding my 2 cents, "flat" pullbacks tend to happen in strong up trends indeed. While pullbacks in the declines tend to be more vertical.

    Collective2 ... looking for feedback from signal-providers

Tried several signal providers, none work reliably with short-term strategies. Small delays can be crucial. IMO if you want to deal with clients it's better to just run OPM. Way more potential as a business and much easier technically to avoid issues. Also better reputation and better reward...

    Dust

A move is a move. If it's too choppy on small time-frames, scale up in time until you see it as part of a bigger picture.

    Why Trade Futures?

Great leverage and liquidity, cheap transaction costs compared to notional size traded.

    Slope of an EMA

IMO such things as "correct" slope of EMA can't be quantified mechanically. Too many inputs to code. Human brain is able to process all these inputs quite effectively though. Suggestion here would be stop trying to make things purely mechanical and just watch the price + EMA(s) until you...

No worries, go all-in, TA never lies. :D P. S. Disclaimer: it wasn't a serious investment advice (for those who might actually go all-in :D ).

This time we all seem to agree. :) NQ looks bullish to me as well short/intermediate term (for a swing trade) with confirmation of the entry @ 2725 and a stop-loss @ 2698. Context for my day trading today is bullish as well (doesn't mean I won't take shorts at all, but usually try to see...

PHOENIX TRADING's 2013 Prophet and Loss Journal

I am not speaking about outrageous claims like multiply account by 1000 times in a year here, but from motivational point of view using "average" as the benchmark is not the best approach IMO. As for beliefs, we are traders, we rely on facts, if we rely on beliefs, karma punishes us very hard. :D

Does anyone have any experience with Amp Futures

Trade with them. Account was opened quickly. Customer support by email is very good, live chat is... well, short-spoken. :) CQG order routing is very fast, I am not high-frequency trader, but can feel the difference vs. IB.

PHOENIX TRADING's 2013 Prophet and Loss Journal

PT, may I ask you why did you choose trading as your main income source while at the same time you seem to be not competitive person (your goal seems to be not higher than what you believe is an average figure)? What is your motivation? I am seriously interested.

PHOENIX TRADING's 2013 Prophet and Loss Journal

No intention to joke in the serious thread with your real money account involved. The more frequently you trade, the more you make if you have a significant edge. Opposite if you don't. I trade futures and speak from my experience and experience of my colleagues who do the same. Of...
