Does Technical Analysis Work in Commodities and FX?

Oldtime, no! Of course not retail traders are major volume in FX. DB alone makes like 20% volume there (mainly in EURUSD pair). Add a few others and you get majority of transactions already.

Does Technical Analysis Work in Commodities and FX?

TA works in any markets with minor adjustments depending on the market "character" (volatility et cetera). Definitely works very well in FX.

I think I figured out why trading can never work for so many people

Probably because context part is the most subjective part of trading. Maybe not subjective, but complex, consisting of many inputs to be processed simultaneously.

I think I figured out why trading can never work for so many people

Probably, I've heard many times that longer-term signals are more reliable. But somehow suck at swing trading, because ironically lack patience and discipline to wait for a proper setup, which may happen once in a few weeks/months per market.

I think I figured out why trading can never work for so many people

I'm fine with about 50% winning trades too as long as R:R is good (and it usually is).

I think I figured out why trading can never work for so many people

Comes from my own experience of what I saw: most trading algos and most algos in general still have relatively poor abilities of reading context (not just in trading, but anywhere). For example Google cars can't drive in winter, because surrounding reality look changes. Not a slightest problem...

I think I figured out why trading can never work for so many people

Many people underestimate the effect knowing MFE/MAE may have on their trading. Must say that thanks to a few people I got to know during past 6 months my beliefs changed about objective trading towards believing it can be much more objective than I ever thought and still have a nicely...

I think I figured out why trading can never work for so many people

Ah, I probably confused terms here. Meant trading with daily time-frame as the lowest (entry) level to exploit short/intermediate term moves lasting from days to weeks. Otherwise it's the same day trading in my view. :) Currently play a couple hours of Euro and a couple hours of NQ every...

I think I figured out why trading can never work for so many people

Some day I will likely become a swing trader too, just because I'm not going to spend all life day trading. :)

How do you think, do I really care if you believe me? :D

    Who Is A Bad Trader?

Yep. And Vic Sperandeo (my favorite trading author if you ask) has a proven track record unlike many vendors. Also enjoy his holistic approach of considering whole picture before placing a trade.

Off to the church, please don't accuse me of being scared of some post which may eventually appear after this one. :D

I think I figured out why trading can never work for so many people

Quite a few people don't need to believe me. They saw pretty much everything I do. People completely independent from each other, from different sides of the world. I am almost sure at least one-two of them would read this thread. And if I lie about anything I really do, they may step in and...

I think I figured out why trading can never work for so many people

Whatever you prefer to believe. :) If you feel better thinking this way, fine. Just remember that you only think so, not objectively know it's impossible for anyone else.

I think I figured out why trading can never work for so many people

Once again you believe world owes you something. This time I had to reply immediately to your every post. What if I had a cup of tea instead? :D Watch yourself. It's those small things which separate winners from losers in trading and general life.

I think I figured out why trading can never work for so many people

My profession aside from trading is helping people control their own minds (and eventually lives). Obvious side effect of that is a good defense from anyone trying to control as well. :p As for your offer, you need it, not me. So you may wire me $100K of course and then if I want, maybe show...

I think I figured out why trading can never work for so many people

No. :) Yes, that simple, no. Neither show anything as I am not obligated to show anything to anyone except those people I am willing to nor shut up. And you will have to live with that. Only thing you can do is ignore someone saying something you don't like. Such is a real life. Notice...

I think I figured out why trading can never work for so many people

Before I go to the Easter mass, want to say NoD, I admire how you took the bits we talked about years ago and turned into your own unique signals. I barely recognize trails of my own work there and our both ways work so well it really shows how creative trading can be. Such a simple game...

I think I figured out why trading can never work for so many people

Notice how you extrapolate your own belief system onto others. When in reality something being impossible for you is not necessarily impossible for others.

If only my wife took some huge loan I am not aware of... didn't notice any new expensive jewelry though. :D
