    'Rethink About Trading Psychology'

Very interesting theses and conclusion, which basically confirms my understanding of TA, which is a gauge to understand what emotions are likely to drive other people's decisions.

Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

Yea, I switched to NQ almost entirely as well, despite it starts 20:30 my time. :) Love it, one of the best instruments for day trading. Well, sometimes still can't resist from playing Euro or heaven forbid, crazy DAX. :D

Honestly the less people are able to trade TA well the better for those who are. :D

Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

IMO bucket shops are a dying business. Retail FX got big enough so that legit companies, such as Dukascopy or LMAX (unavailable directly for US citizens, but things of beauty for everyone else) stepped into the market. Also there are always CME futures for those who are paranoid about retail...

Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

Advantage of SIFs I found is known in advance time, when "the fun" begins. Much more comfortable to trade for 2-2.5 hours a day instead of sitting like a spider in the web and waiting all day for Euro maybe to move nicely and maybe not (FX markets are more global and periods of increased...

Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

Well, reason to trade OPM (for me at least) is adjust risk profile of my whole trading business to decrease Graham risk. Doesn't matter what market to trade (I have damn good leverage for futures as well, equivalent of approximately 250:1 for day trading).

Frankly, I find index futures to be easier indeed compared to FX, but mostly thanks to known times of the most activity.

Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

Currencies are no different than any other markets. Same principles of speculations apply, so of course there are profitable traders who specialize on currencies.

One better not experiment with scaling in/out before getting consistently profitable at all. Easy to get lost in trading, so baby steps, one at a time are a safer way.

    Chronicles of the NQ

Good luck in your journey. NQ is my favorite toy as well lately. :)

Yes, still a long way of improving the timing is probably ahead, but I see the constructive changes, that is good.

WTG! It broke big monthly support. Maybe a bit of chasing here, but still better go with the flow, not against it.

I like it. Buying/selling in direction of momentum. Sounds good. Now throw in some context and finer signal and you'll be a real TA trader. :D

Resources for getting over fear of trading?

Can you please elaborate more on your fears. Are you afraid that your strategy/tactics does not "work" anymore and that's why scared to take the trades? Or are you afraid of something else?

Resources for getting over fear of trading?

Can you tell, what exactly your fear is about? Formulate your fear precisely in correct terms, such as "fear of having a losing trade". Most likely you would not be afraid to trade if you were sure every trade is going to be a winner, right? :)

Just try that on your next PD call, why not alongside with outright trade if you want. Risk is all limited and it's at least some valuable experience. Have a good weekend! Cornix

Good points, Lucrum. I do much the same (basically scalp for a few ticks) and all the time exit "early" or get hit by early moved b/e stop. Also commissions are serious cost. But... who cares about all above if in the end you come out well ahead? We trade to make NET profit, not to count...
