Trading with a Stop Loss in the Futures Market is for Losers

In my case posted TA showed short BEFORE the actual drop and thus no slippage would occur as well as price never ticked any much above the hypothetical entry. All a matter of timing. :)

    Risk management matters.

Trading with a Stop Loss in the Futures Market is for Losers

Thanks. Actually risk per trade is just about 2% with that $2500 per contract figure. :)

Trading with a Stop Loss in the Futures Market is for Losers

My purpose was just demonstrate that there can be a way to see the same event differently for some traders from how EMG saw it. And a tight stop would work perfectly for them, resulting in a nice profitable trade.

Trading with a Stop Loss in the Futures Market is for Losers

Here we go! Only I trade one per $2500 for my clients and even more aggressively for myself. :) P. S. No I am not an idiot and my draw-downs are relatively moderate. :)

Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

No such thing as riskless money. :) Risk is relative though. Markovitz (volatility) risk is no biggie if you know your stats and are confident about your strategy/tactics. Only what really matters is Graham risk (permanent loss of capital). Of course poor trading can easily turn 1st...

I prefer to call it intra-day swings. :) Small stops and larger targets mostly, trying to catch intra-day trends.

Yea, hard stop defined by stats. Just a few ticks as I day trade.

I use x25 leverage for conservative trades. :)

Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

Right. Posting anything but a really long series of trades is useless. Nobody except people who absolutely don't understand trading cares of single trades. You may have 5 losses in a row... so what. Only what matters is how your method performs in the long run.

Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

I don't get it: atticus trades FX using TA and Surf reports it?

Trading with a Stop Loss in the Futures Market is for Losers

Exactly. If you don't have a pre-defined max loss point, you cannot judge statistical parameters of a trade correctly.

Trading with a Stop Loss in the Futures Market is for Losers

Why not trade with a tight stop loss, but be on the right side instead of the side EMG somehow guessed everyone should be? :D TA pointed the low risk entry just a minute before the crash.

    WTH flash crash

Didn't trade that myself, but TA shows an opportunity to short just before the crash itself. :)

Looks like FX cared less about the fake tweet mini-crash yesterday than stock indexes. Same was during the flash crash of 2010. FX certainly has some advantage.

Believe me there are more applications than I would like to accept. :) By the way, can't you remind me, where did you take $1K figure from? Just the facts please, no rambles. :)
