    Cornix's TA Performance

Today's trades. 2 longs, one b/e and one -1.25 handles (minus commissions each).

I didn't try, but I eventually will. Yes I believe it's very objective, at least those signals presented here. Fail or not... we'll see. I'm a scientist in 5th generation, anything is a theory until proven. :)

    Cornix's TA Performance

In this thread I use signals based on TA then. It isn't automated yet, but likely can be and maybe will be in future.

Well, he mentioned "chart reading" more than once. And my definition of TA in the current thread is: all signals are entered/exited based on reading price charts.

You made an interesting point here Wrbtrader, because that's exactly what I'm trying to do here: trade as objective as possible, not automated in the sense of machine code, but "self-automated" to a possible degree (and test the possibility of it as a whole).

    Cornix's TA Performance

Wrbtrader: This thread is a journal used to track performance of a particular approach based solely on TA. So it serves two purposes: create ET history of trades using this method and provide evidence of TA method working (or not) and beating (or not) the infamous 20% annually figure.

Correct. 1.25 points. Have to deduct commissions from that also.

    Cornix's TA Performance

I met most of my trading buddies (and some of them are good friends now as well) on ET, so agree with you here. It can be a source of very productive professional and general communication between traders and clearly deserves credit for that even despite the recent decline in quality of...

    Cornix's TA Performance

Yep. As I have exactly the same thinking I sure have a "backup" track record as well. :) This thread is more a combo of truly public, scrutinized record and a demonstration of "real vs. fantasy" in relation to the old TA argument.

    Cornix's TA Performance

Sorry, I probably missed your question. Yes definitely I want a reputable public track record. Why is that? Because I think it's a valuable asset to have for a trader who's serious about this business and ET is still one of the most serious traders communities around.

    Cornix's TA Performance

To have a public track record of performance. But natural consistent performance, not just contest show-off and similar crap only useful to boost one's ego.

Let's just see as it goes forward. No need to guess, we're traders, not freaking magicians or fortune tellers. :D

    Cornix's TA Performance

Providing blotters which everybody says are looking good is enough for me. So you're free to say I refused to participate, yes. :)

    Cornix's TA Performance

I don't want to compete with anyone but myself. Just going to keep posting how it goes, good or bad score, we'll see. :) See no reason to put unnecessary pressure on myself and Surf. Trying to perform is about the stupidest thing a trader can do, puts you in a position prone to forcing the...

Those figures are NQ points/ticks (CTS doesn't use comma to separate ticks from handles), not $ figures. I use this way because $ figure is none of anybody's business and can greatly vary depending on size one trades anyway without the slightest change in a strategy/tactics.

Yea, going to get busy to find out if C2 can be a way to go for me. Two trades last week BTW.

    Cornix's TA Performance

Well, my trades are scrutinized for quite some time already, just not on ET, so it's not new experience already, rather a development of transparency. And I will still consider it a shame if only make 20% by June 2014. :)
  18. cornix

    Cornix's TA Performance

Sure, no problem. I didn't do that because going to post next trades in the same continuous blotter anyway where it's clearly visible what period is covered and sequence of trades is obvious.

Poor week for signals for sure, but more to come in the near future. Have a good weekend everyone! :)

    Cornix's TA Performance

Apparently many players watch them both, at least algos sure do for arb games etc. So they somehow have to respect 6E in order to play spreads between it and spot. Just my theory on that, don't know for sure.
