    Cornix's TA Performance

True. That's not my sole income source (I am psychologist as well), but the most important without any doubts.

    Cornix's TA Performance

Or unless I stop day trading completely of course. :)

    Cornix's TA Performance

I can't see the future of course, but so far I plan to update it as long as I publicly trade and there are no legal or business reasons to stop.

    Cornix's TA Performance

Correct. Don't worry though, I am not going anywhere and neither going to make anything up. True long-term performance will be apparent for everyone here.

    Cornix's TA Performance

You're welcome to consider it of course. :)

    Cornix's TA Performance

OK, understood. I just prefer to count chickens in the Autumn, not make long-term conclusions based on short-term equity swings. There are report periods, which can be used as sort of a benchmark. Month or better yet a year makes sense to make conclusions. Anything in between is fine of...

I said June was 4% profit. Report period for me is a month. Overall yes it's underwater to date.

    Cornix's TA Performance

Do you calculate total or just June?

    Cornix's TA Performance

Correction: if we consider July so far then yes it's overall underwater since the start of the journal. And while I fully understand for a typical ET member a couple of losses are a true reason to panic I will respectfully prefer to just keep trading exactly the same way. :)

    Cornix's TA Performance

$101.56 net profit (after all commissions and fees) per contract (I even received my profit share commission for that already so it can't be wrong :D ). If you assume allocation of $2500 per contract it equals to ~4%. For more aggressive approach it's more accordingly. Below is a clip from...

    Cornix's TA Performance

Right, Dom, Trading is a marathon. What I demonstrate here is not another classic ET one hit wonder "get rich quick via single call" trading. Rather slow motion relaxed living by speculation performed just 3 hours a day max. I don't know future and it may easily happen that it doesn't produce...

    Cornix's TA Performance

I see logical contradiction here. You question my ability to produce 20%+ annually but calling 4% month (for conservative risk management) a fluke?
  13. cornix

    Cornix's TA Performance

Absolutely not. I will continue so the truth about annual return will be known by May 30, 2014 and likely further into the future as well. :)

One trade today. Wish all you people from the US a happy July 4 holiday! :) No trading for me tomorrow and Thursday, will be back on Friday.

TA - Objective or Psychological Skill?

Thank you Surf. We'll see how it goes in the long-term. I don't exclude the possibility that you're right and I'm wrong, just a matter of evidence.

TA - Objective or Psychological Skill?

They are not my mentors so I respectfully disagree. My personal 8 year experience in trading combined with psychology background convinced me in things I do and the more I trade, research and analyze myself and other traders the more I am convinced. BTW, there's nothing wrong if one is unable...

    Cornix's TA Performance

Assuming I already beat 20% figure in less than 3 months of public trading this way on some accounts (it depends on risk tolerance), yes of course 20% annually is no biggie at all. :) As for this particular thread, the reality will show itself, positive or negative, it will become apparent...

    Cornix's TA Performance

Haha.... yeah sounds familiar. Thanks BW! :) No worries here, anyone who's so melting to care about a few critical comments should never trade IMO. I appreciate all criticism, as it may show something I missed myself. And trading will just keep going. :)

TA - Objective or Psychological Skill?

Surf, Here's a small test: you are welcome to take my published entries and apply the following simple rules to them: 10 tick stop-loss, 12 tick profit target. Nothing else. You will be surprised that this 1:1 risk reward (1:1 due to commissions) would still produce profit and win rate...

    Cornix's TA Performance

It is what it is. Real live trading which I guess nobody doubts is real. My deep respect to people who have a better public track record of trading on similar or larger size (middle two digits of SIF contracts). Would be very interesting to see their results by the way. :)
