Some people I know with over 30 years of trading experience say trading became easier nowadays, not harder. Those are consistently profitable traders of course, not someone who looks for a way to rationalize his inability to trade with external reasons. :)

It depends on one's trading strategy and tactics. Every trading signal morphs into consequent market action and one have to be ready for anything, literally speaking. A rule for every of possible outcomes listed in his/her rule book. :)

A set of rules one develops for him/herself before the actual trading begins. Correct trading should always be pre-defined in a form of "if, then" algorithm consisting of rules for all possible outcomes, I strongly believe in it.

Strong enough emotion to paralyse one's ability to follow the pre-defined trading plan correctly and to analyse the market objectively. Measure is individual of course.

Issues like uncontrolled fear, greed, lack of discipline etc. Properly skilled is pro poker player for example, who is skilled to successfully deal with all those issues listed above.

Simple technically, but very hard emotionally. If you have no psychological issues, then you are lucky or properly skilled and it will be easy for you. :)
