When I watch Euro PA and see how amazingly often it reacts at certain TA/PA levels, it makes me wonder if those algos which are lately very active in FX also use... (such a blasphemy!) trendlines and S/R... :D

Guess it depends on what's meant by "TA". If it's TA in the sense of wrbtrader, then hardly one can beat a human trading nearly every day and staying in sync with market evolution. That's the beauty of creative TA approach, you adjust to the game depending on conditions, algos can't change that...

Indeed... HFT is based purely on information about trades/orders, without any fundamental factors considered... But HFT is "cool" and TA is "not". :)

So true... Intuition is just information processed by our brain in slightly different way than "surface layer" consciousness. Still based on what we know, just not necessarily know that we know. So no gut involved. :)

Believing is the easiest part. :) Because as you see "it" works again and again and again... it's not anymore a matter of a belief, but a matter of knowledge. But I agree, at times I still sit and can't believe why "it" works so well. :)

Thanks, brother SAM. Just a few years of staring at the price and a few wise people to give hints what to look for and things start to look not as complicated as many believe. :)

This is great advice, NoD. Frankly, I never say it's "just gut feel", but usually when asked and can't exactly describe my internal thinking algorithm in a particular case, say that I will try to explain as well as I can, but ask readers to give me more questions if something is unclear. :)
