Funny, I had the opposite experience. I subscribed for about 3 months (though no longer a subscriber) Thought there was a lot of good information on the site. When I had a billing issue, they responded quickly and fixed the issue. The fact that he won't allow you to download his data without...

Would you rather trade and pay your broker commission? or join TradeZero America and trade for FREE?

Would be great if you could answer my previous questions so we could see if its "really" free. Can we trade single listed options such as SPX and VIX and if yes do you pass exchange fees along here? Is there any restriction on adding or taking liquidity in order to receive free option trades...

Thanks for answering these questions Mohamed, a few more concerning options in particular. Can we trade single listed options such as SPX and VIX and if yes do you pass exchange fees along here? Is there any restriction on adding or taking liquidity in order to receive free option trades? Do...

Was going to ask this too, Looks like you pay .09 in OCC/Reg fees. Also listed on your web site is a pass through rate. Does this mean you will charge the actual exchange fees the order incurs? Also can you direct an option order to a specific exchange?

    Exercised on dividend date....?

Read post #2 The May 124 calls should not be exercised as of the current prices (which doesn't mean someone wont do it anyway.) First they are trading with .30 of premium, which would suggest its not a good do, but imagine you are holding these. If you exercised, you would then have long...

New to trading options. Need advice on Put option now in bankruptcy

I saw 1 offered at .94 than there was a volume of 1 with a last at .94 Good fill and outcome for you. You were filled .01 under intrinsic value so the MM made less then .01 after his commissions.

New to trading options. Need advice on Put option now in bankruptcy

You need to understand that they didn't spike to this price. They market may have briefly gone 5 dollars wide on these options and Robinhood took the mid price, but this is not an indication of the value or where it is trading.

New to trading options. Need advice on Put option now in bankruptcy

No, you can't. It is worth about what the intrinsic value is. It didn't spike to 2.46 (the May 1 puts). The intrinsic value is currently .95 (With the stock at .05). You will need to sell it below this price for a MM to be interested in buying it. Or you can buy the stock at .05 and...

New to trading options. Need advice on Put option now in bankruptcy

I would offer it at parity, so .93 and walk it down to .91 (so .02 under parity) if not filled, I would buy the stock and exercise my put (if you buy the stock at .07, and exercising your put, you are essentially selling your put at .93)

New to trading options. Need advice on Put option now in bankruptcy

Well, your options are trading. Stock is at .07 and the May 50's are very wide. You can try and sell your options out, or you can buy the stock and exercise your puts.

New to trading options. Need advice on Put option now in bankruptcy

You would not want to exercise your option in this case as you will then be short stock, not out of your position. This could create other problems. As mentioned by others, the OCC will generally post a memo on how they will be handling the situation if the stock does not reopen for trading...

    Exercised on dividend date....?

Carry cost refers to the date of the expiration of the options. So for example if you were long an June 80 call in a $100 stock and exercise it today for the dividend, then buy the put, you would carry that stock until June expiration. So before you were holding a $20 ($2,000) call, now you...

    Exercised on dividend date....?

That's correct. Just think of a conversion spread, a neutral spread where you are long stock, short calls and long the same strike put. If someone is long calls, its the same synthetic position is long stock and long puts. So if I am long calls, if I exercise them to obtain the dividend, I...

    strange strange calendar (opinion poll)

As @jamesbp mentioned, put calendars do trade for a credit. In European style options in deep puts you will see this. For example the SPX Dec 21 Dec 19 4200 put spread is trading at over a $70 credit. I'm not familiar with the security you mentioned, but I assume it is a similar situation.
