But as hafez wisely said "trade what you see, not what you think".... saved me $$ :D Our fed printing press at some point will tank markets imo.... Hope we survive the pandemic

This virus is a nightmare within a nightmare...how can the markets be at all time highs?

Although my attempts to swingtrade short the recent rally have been an epic fail, I still believe a huge drop is coming soon..... the bs fed pump plus trump likely election loss plus cv surge etc... in the meantime I'm just gonna daytrade. Market feels like the fcking Titanic right before the...

    Stop Losses are killing me

Good discussion.... in working to help many traders over 20 years I've found: The best traders use tightest stops Great traders obsess over rockstar entries And smart trade management Bad traders are clueless about managing risk and where to take profits

50k+ new cases each day in US

Due to American stupidity I fully expect 400,000 dead by fall and 1M+ dead by spring in the USA. Prepare to be shocked at the death count in 2 weeks. The media is not discussing excess mortality counts enough nor surging gun sales, likely to avoid public panic.

    Stop Losses are killing me

For many years I thought the same, that entries were critical. They are, but exits and trade management are significantly more important. Look at these 2 trades I did Thursday. The entry pattern on the first was better than the second. Yet the first stopped out and the second was a winner...

    Stop Losses are killing me

    Stop Losses are killing me

Yes! That's a top problem I've found in 20yrs daytrading. No one size fits all / each unique trading day. Especially tough when trading index-derived instruments like SPY. There's strong trending vs choppy days; A or V shaped etc

    Stop Losses are killing me

Pete has a good point re trailing stops often get shaken out too soon, especially for swingtrading. In daytrading they work best on strong trending or midday reversal (but not choppy) days. Often charts run up nicely, then drop back down, like the letter A. It's frustrating to be in the...
